2012 Annual Awards
T
he winners of the CATT 2012 Annual Awards Competition were announced at the December 7 Christmas Holiday Party. 18 nominations were made in 5 “project” categories and 35 nominations were made in 6 “individual achievement” categories. CATT members voted on the CATT website for the individual achievement awards while project evaluation was done via the use of an independent panel of judges. Project Judges were: Brian Whitmore of Williams + Paddon, Jean Henning with the West Coast Lumber & Building Photo ID of winners (L to R): Andrew Cross (Truckee-Tahoe Lumber Company), Paul Griggs (Griggs Custom Material Association, and David Peterson with Fine Line Homes), Mark Tanner (Mark Tanner Construction) with Greg Pasquali of Holliday Development, Larry Young Construction. CATT Secretary Gary Crosswhite led the (Ward-Young Architecture & Planning), Mike Kerton (Kerton Construction), Michelle Geary (Sierra Sun/North Lake Tahoe Bonanza), Gary Crosswhite (Meridian Concrete), and Ryan Swenson (Simpson Strong-Tie) overhaul of the program this year with more changes likely to come in 2013 as it relates to project judging criteria, a new z Residential Project of the Year: Jim Morrison Construction, requirement for site plans and floor plans, etc. The 2012 Award Winners Lot 381, Martis Camp will be featured in press releases, a full page ad in the local newspaper, and profiles with photos in the 2013 CATT Building & Remodeling Guide. z New Member of the Year: Michelle Geary, Sierra Sun/North Lake Tahoe Bonanza See the names of all nominees on page 7 in this CATT-A-LOG. z Volunteer of the Year: Ryan Swenson, Simpson Strong-Tie
