Change to Our Online Payment Provider As of June 20th, we have begun working with ClickPay as our new provider for accepting homeowner assessment payments online. ClickPay has replaced our existing online payment provider and is the preferred way of accepting all homeowner payments moving forward. Through this new platform, homeowners can manage and pay their assessments online through individual or automatic payments made by e-check (ACH) now for FREE and by credit or debit card for a nominal fee of 2.95%. This change will not disrupt payments set up by homeowners through our original ACH/SurePay program and no action will be required from homeowners. Payments will continue to withdraw automatically and will be listed on homeowner bank statements as the community or association name. Homeowners wishing to edit their existing setup will be able to do so by contacting ClickPay and referencing their unique homeowner account number. For any questions or concerns on this matter, please contact Bernadette Rodas at bernadette.rodas@fsresidential.com or Brittany Felix at brittany.felix@fsresidential.com.

Golf Tips Stuart Smith PGA Director of Golf
O
3) It is imperative that you finish facing the target with your weight on your left foot—rolled up on your right toe. A very common mistake is to finish on your back foot or flat footed. When you try to lift the ball out with just your arms this is often the result. Remember a soft splashing of the sand and weight on your lead foot at impact will get the majority of your shots out of the bunker.
ne of the most daunting shots in the game is the sand shot. I am in hopes that the few tips I provide with a little practice will give you a new found hope in becoming more proficient out of the sand.
Priority:
1) The sand wedge is weighted and designed to lift the ball out of

the bunker. The first thing to remember in the bunker is that you do not have to help the ball up and out.
2) My best advice when practicing out of the bunker is to draw a box around the ball—about the size of a normal divot— approximately 4” x 6”. The whole object is to take your swing and splash the sand out of the box. The visual of splashing is to encourage a relaxed motion allowing the club to do most of the work. It is important to allow your wrists to hinge and unhinge. Splashing encourages this.
1. Out of the bunker 3. Close to the hole 4. In the hole Practice, Practice, Practice. The more you practice with the box the more you will be able to imagine the box around your ball when you are playing. If you are having trouble we have an excellent team of instructors here at the Country Club to help you with your game. Call us at 787-1800, ext.2.

YEARS IN NEVADA: We lived in Somersett from 2010 to 2013, then moved away for our jobs to Palm Springs and the San Francisco bay area for three years, returning last year because we wanted to raise our family here. ORIGINALLY FROM: Truckee, CA. Go Wolverines. GREATEST ACCOMPLISHMENT: My family. It did not come easy for my husband and I, and involved plenty of tough times and heartbreak. Today, we have two beautiful toddler daughters who came to us via embryo adoption/donation.
14
FAVORITE ACTIVITIES: Participating in races and triathlons I woefully underprepare for, snuggling with my girls, date nights with my husband, and great food and wine. LAST BOOK READ: Damage Control: The Essential Lessons of Crisis Management, by Eric Dezenhall. Unfortunately reading for pleasure has fallen to the wayside for now, but hope to reengage once our girls get a bit older. WHY SOMERSETT: We love the community as a whole—it’s beautiful, clean, safe and full of great people. We also love its proximity to Truckee and Tahoe, as we spend quite a bit of time there.

Jenny Herz OCCUPATION: I am a Radiologic Technologist at St. Mary’s. I am a choreographer/performer/Board of Directors member with Controlled Burn Reno. I am the entertainment director with the Gateway Project and I work with some of the City of Reno’s people to help with special events. Burning Man’s ARTery, the art department is another job I have, helping artists place their art on the playa using predetermined and mapped GPS coordinates. I am also an NFPA Fire Services Instructor 1 and sit on the State of Nevada’s Board for the Regulation of Liquefied Petroleum Gas. YEARS IN NEVADA: 39 years. I moved here with a friend in 1978. We were only going to stay for a short while before heading back to Southern California. She went back after a year. I stayed. ORIGINALLY FROM: Covina, CA GREATEST ACCOMPLISHMENT: My most exciting accomplishment was my first year with the Gateway Project. We
did a big fundraiser at the Pioneer Theatre and I was in charge of the entertainment. It was amazing. The best part was having aerialist over the orchestra pit while the guests were eating dinner on the main stage area. My greatest accomplishment is being alive. I had cancer in 2011 and developed septicemia three times over the course of the next year. It took a lot of determination just to keep going, in those days. FAVORITE ACTIVITIES: Running, cycling, hiking, snowshoeing, and fire dance/performance. LAST BOOK READ: Interventional Radiology: a Survival Guide. (BORING!) WHY SOMERSETT: As a trail runner, I used to come through this area on long runs. I always enjoyed the stunning views. I love living “up in the mountains’” while still being close to town. We have a quiet neighborhood. We are close to nature here, with beautiful trails and lots of wildlife. We have nice dark skies full of stars at night. It’s the best of everything here.

When signing in for class, the Club will follow our group fitness policy, which states that participants may sign in no earlier than 15 minutes before class. If participation warrants, we will also utilize the 1-to-20 number system as we have in previous years. Please look for class days and times on the fitness calendar found at The Club at Town Center and online at mysomersett. com.

Our Philosophy of Care:
Over 25 years creating Meaningful Moments®
To care for each individual with dignity and respect and join you in honoring them.
Earlier this year my mother became a resident of Stone Valley. Unfortunately, she passed away too soon; however, by the time she did, we had all become part of the Stone Valley “family.” While my mother was there, we were reassured and so thankful for the level of care and love she received every day from the entire team. —Leslee P.
