FITNESS CLASS DESCRIPTIONS

AquaFit: Join this invigorating and joint-friendly workout in the Lap Pool.

AquaTabata: Mix Tabata interval training with the fun, low-impact of water aerobics. Through a variety of simple yet intense exercises, each class will blast away the calories and provide noticeable results in a short amount of time.

Body Sculpt: Define, sculpt and build lean muscle for all levels of fitness. Classes focus on intense isolation exercises with free weights and resistance, ending with abs.

Boot Camp: Each boot camp class will push you out of your comfort zone with different exercises to keep you on your toes and work up a sweat through total body, high intensity interval and circuit training.

Cardio Step: A high energy, heart-pumping cardio class that mixes basic to intermediate choreography in a variety of fun styles. Different intensity levels ensure everyone gets the most out of their workout. An excellent cross-training class for all fitness levels.

Crunch 15: A 15 minute power class that focuses solely on core and ab strengthening exercises.

Fundamental Yoga: Introduces the principles of alignment and breath work in a flow of postures. Students will be introduced to basic yoga poses through step-by-step verbal description and demonstration. This class is beginner friendly.

Hatha Yoga (Levels 1 and 2): Concentrates on physical health and well-being using body postures (asanas), breathing techniques (pranayama) & meditation techniques (dyana) with the goal of bringing about a healthy body and a clear, peaceful mind.

Gentle Sunrise Yoga (Levels 2 and 3): Greet the morning slowly and methodically with deep stretching and mindful yoga practice.

Mat Toning: Use controlled breathing during body weight resisted movements on a floor mat to tone and build core strength.

Mind-Body Wellness: Explore the power of relaxation through breath and learn how to achieve balance. This class shows you how to fight stress, lack of focus, back & neck pain, poor sleep patterns and fatigue through visualization, breath work and mindfulness training. New students welcome!

Power Cycle: A condensed spin class that uses effective bursts of strength training while spinning.

Tabata/HIIT: Tabata and HIIT use short intense anaerobic exercise with even shorter recovery periods. With a variety of exercises and methods for this training, you’ll always be targeting major muscle groups for a total body workout.

Yoga: A Hatha based yoga class focusing on foundational yoga postures practicing alignment, strength and flexibility in the body. Breathing techniques and meditation are also integrated. An emphasis on simplicity, repetition, and ease of movement.

Zumba ® : Latin rhythms and easy to follow moves, Zumba ® keeps everyone motivated by creating a dance party atmosphere.

REMINDERS: Heavy colognes/perfumes should not be worn during class. All participants are asked to wipe down equipment before and after use. Cleaned equipment should be returned to its’ original location after class. Cell phones should be put on silent and should not be used during class; if you have an emergency please take your call into the hallway.

Assessment Reminder

Assessments are due on the first of each month and are overdue if not paid by the 30th of each month. A late fee of $25 will be posted to accounts not paid by the 30th. Accounts 60 days past due will lose clubhouse and/or Canyon Nine privileges. Accounts 75 days past due will be sent to collections.

Assessment Payments Submitted Online (via ClickPay)

You can pay your monthly assessments online from the FirstService ClickPay, a third-party payment processing company. Payments submitted through ClickPay (Autopay) typically take up to three business days to be credited to your assessment account. Please keep this in mind since payments received after the 30th are subject to a $25 late fee. ClickPay charges a fee for its payments made by debit or credit card. There is no fee if you pay by e-check. For an

THE RULES ON RENTALS

The following key points are taken from the CC&Rs and Rules and Regulations: • Rental agreements must be for a term of no less than 6 months. • Single-family dwelling units are to be used solely for residential purposes, including private garages, guest or servants’ quarters and other outbuildings. No businesses or short-term rentals such as Airbnb are permitted. • A single family shall be defined as any number of persons related by blood, adoption or marriage living as a single-family household unit with not more than two people who are not related. • No more than three people who are not related may rent all or part of the home. • Homeowners are responsible for the conduct and any violation of the Rules, Regulations and Covenants the renters may cause. • Homeowners may sign over the rights to the Clubhouse to their renters.

To report a non-compliance, please email soa@mysomersett.com or call 787-4500. Please note that while we do investigate and document each complaint received, we cannot disclose the status of anyone’s account. Should a homeowner not respond to or correct a violation, he or she will be summoned to a hearing and could be suspended from the Club and assessed fines. At this time the Association has a policy not to enter a property unless it is bank owned, and then only to repair front-yard landscaping.

Executive sessions and AGC meetings are not open to residents other than those on the agenda. Communications, Facilities and Finance committee meetings are open to all owners. Draft minutes of meetings will be posted at www.somersett.net a few days after the meeting. Final minutes will be posted once they have been approved at the next scheduled meeting. 2021 Budget Workshops & Presentations*

All workshops and presentations are open to all members and are held at The Club at Town Center or via Zoom. Check www.Somersett. net/committees-and-meetings for the latest information.

Monday, September 21 from 4–6 pm: Workshop: Recap on all budgets and review contract allocations. Wednesday, September 30 from 4–6 pm: Workshop: Review financial updates to reserves. Wednesday, October 7 at 4 pm: Presentation of the 2020 Budget for members. October 14 at 5:30 pm: Board of Directors meeting will include budget approval. November 18 at 4 pm: Annual Members Meeting – budget ratification and elections. *This schedule is tentative and subject to change.

2020 Board Election

There are three positions open on the Board of Directors. If you would like to serve on the Board, please complete the form included on page 28 of this issue in its entirety and return on or before October 2 to the onsite office located at The Club at Town Center. The completed forms will be reproduced and provided in a mailing to the membership. We also ask that each candidate provide a headshot via email to soa@mysomersett.com for posting on the website.

Board election ballots and candidate statements will be mailed to unit owners by October 16. Nevada law requires that all directors be elected by secret written ballot. Only you can vote on your secret ballot, which must be completely filled in and placed in the envelope marked secret ballot. It will not be opened until the annual meeting on November 16.

Ballots returned by U.S. Mail must be received at The Club at Town Center, 7650 Town Square Lane, Reno, NV 89523 by November 15. Ballots may also be returned in person to the ballot boxes at either the Club or Aspen Lodge, no later than 1 pm on November 16.

No ballots will be accepted at the annual meeting.

The Annual Meeting of Members of the Somersett Owners Association will be held at 4:00PM on November 16, 2020. On the agenda will be a board election. Association members will be electing (3) three members to the all-owner board with both seats serving a two-year term.
