Love, truckee
In Truckee, we value a balanced quality of life, healthy living, families and community, history and culture, and are environmentally conscious. We welcome visitors, friends, new families and neighbors to our community and know you will have an amazing time exploring and experiencing all that Truckee has to offer. To protect and preserve this magical, authentic place we call home, we as a community are committed to kindness, plenty of love for each other and our environment…. and we invite our visitors to do the same. These are challenging times – and some of our businesses are operating in new and different ways and may be running a bit short staffed. Be patient and kind – after all…. it’s Truckee time… time to slow down, be more laid back and casual. A warm smile is the universal language of kindness. As more and more people seek healthy, outdoor, wideopen spaces, we all need to take extra steps to respect our favorite outdoor places and everyone out there enjoying them. Take a look on page 14 for the Recreate Responsibly guidelines created by the Recreate Responsibly Coalition of more than 1,000 businesses, agencies, nonprofits, and influential voices who are working together to help everyone experience the benefits of nature. You’ll find plenty of information in this guide to help you in your exploration and enjoyment of Truckee. Whether you’re picking up that unique something in one of our many stores, taking a walking tour of historic downtown Truckee, hiking up that peak, ripping down that single track, carving those turns on pristine corduroy, or dining under the stars, this place is magic…. this place is home.
Love, Truckee
what’s inside
From beautiful mountains, bluebird skies set against the green pine trees to fresh water lakes and streams there’s plenty to love about Truckee. It’s a place to recreate, relax and reflect on the ever-changing world we live in today.
