Winter 2012/13 | Wingfield Springs Community Association Newsletter
I
hope all of you made it to the 2012 finish line safely. On behalf of your Board, I wish you all a very healthy, safe and prosperous New Year 2013. As mentioned in the Manager’s Report, we ended the year 2012 with the elections of three Board members. Lou Dauria and Ray Case were reelected and Marilyn Brainard was the third elected to complete our team of five. The team looks as follows in alphabetical order: Marilyn Brainard Director Ray Case Treasurer Lou Dauria Secretary Bob Denis President Denny Jensen Vice-President We want to acknowledge Donna Chaffer who stepped down after four years of service as Secretary for our community. Donna also led the landscape committee during this time; she offered to continue helping in some capacity on this committee. Her expertise and credentials in this area is a great asset for us all. Thank you Donna. Lou Dauria decided to pass the President baton. He returns with us as Secretary. We thank Lou for his service as President for four years and look forward to his contribution in this new role. His experience and expertise are solid assets to this community. Ray Case was Interim Director in 2012 as he gracefully accepted to join us when a Director position became vacant. We welcome Ray’s wealth of experience and knowledge in financials. The Treasurer role fits him like a glove.
Marilyn Brainard was President of this Board for some years prior, spent six years as commissioner for HOA dealings, remains very active in many facets of HOA affairs, and now joins the team as Director. We look forward to her wealth of knowledge in helping us navigate promptly and safely through the complicated world of HOAs. Denny Jensen continues as Vice-President. I certainly look forward to his shouldering us. Denny has solid business acumen backed with a sharp eye for details and excellent project management abilities. I performed as Secretary and Treasurer for the past few years. As President, I look forward to serving you and working with the team to deliver tangible results. As you can perceive from the individual briefings above, your Board is a powerhouse of all the necessary skills to “get’er done”. We however need your help and support. That translates into attending the Board meetings, reporting issues through our management partner (6267333), providing us with constructive criticism instead of just whining, and more involvement along the same lines. This is OUR community; it is our collective duty to maintain it to high standards and be intolerant of those who disrespect it in any fashion. To protect our owners, tenants, and the nice environment we live in, the Board intends to apply our rules and regulations in a fair yet firm manner. I hope you concur and will help. Thank you.
