Welcome... Enjoy unique performances, exciting workshops, engaging after school activities and more at JW3 this season. Our Family Fun Sundays feature events such as The Happy Hamsa, an interactive concert with actions, sound effects and visuals, and Crafternoon: Through the Shuk, introducing children to the mesmerising tastes and colours of the market. Kids can learn about science through song at Sci-Tunes, we’ll be running a Family Fun Zone at the Maccabi Fun Run, and our Family Fridays include delicious kosher dinners and activities. Young people can develop new skills and friendships at our Holiday Schemes; it’s Wizarding Week at Half Term Scheme, and there’s a whole range of activities on offer at our Summer Bonanza. Look out for After School Activities including Street Dance and Science Club, as well as Early Years events for younger children. Parent and Baby Fest returns with sessions and workshops and parents can also join us for Antenatal Classes, Baby Café @ Zest and other special events. We look forward to seeing you!

A lucky charm travels across the Sephardi diaspora playing traditional festival songs, with actions, visuals and sound effects! Ululation, Palmas clapping and some very strange animal noises! MACCABI COMMUNITY FUN RUN

2-4.30pm, £6 child, £2 adult Join Al’s Little Singers in this interactive Beatles-themed sing-along under the (imaginary) stars, next to our (imaginary) campfire. They provide the words and the instruments! For ages 0+. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

PARENT AND BABY FEST 11am-4pm, FREE Are you pregnant? Do you have a new baby? Toddlers running around? Join us at our one-day event and prepare yourselves for your baby’s birth and their first years. We’ve lined up a range of our favourite experts to provide you with the information and inspiration you’ll need for these magical early years. Events include a first aid baby and toddler CPR session with Riverside Cares, a fun-packed activity programme for the little ones and their adults, and we’ll also be collecting unused nappies for JCORE to send to destitute asylum seekers. GEFILTEFEST 10.30am-5.30pm Advance Tickets: £22 adult, £12.50 child, family ticket £55 Calling all foodie families… Gefiltefest Jewish Food Festival is returning to JW3. Alongside our main programme, hands-on workshops for children aged 5-11 will be held on a first come, first served basis, plus a rolling programme of food-related crafts for families to enjoy together for ages 2+. Come and explore Jewish food culture with us and be inspired to think differently about food. All children attending Gefiltefest must be accompanied by a paying adult. Family Fridays Friday 20 May

FAMILY FRIDAY NIGHT 5.45-8pm, £25 per adult, 2-5yrs £6, over 5s £10, under 2s Free Join us for a reception with cocktails and mocktails, soft play and Shabbat activities for the children. Then we’ll serve a delicious kosher dinner, followed by dessert and a puppet show. We’re also bringing to life a beautiful story from the PJ Library, in a puppet show created and performed by Alice Kristina Rose. The Shabbat-friendly activities are suitable for children aged 2-8, but all ages are welcome. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Cognitive neuropsychologist Dr Debora Elijah discusses ways we can help our children to identify their own emotions, build social skills, know when to talk and what to talk about, devise strategies to become more self-confident and share information and ideas clearly. MANAGING TEMPER TANTRUMS IN CHILDREN

Wednesdays 11 May - 29 June

8-9.30pm, £12 per person, £20 per couple Temper tantrums are particularly common in children aged 1-4, when they are still learning how to communicate effectively. Lecturer in child health Jill Wheatcroft will discuss the reasons why tantrums occur and share tips on how to manage and avoid them. There will be opportunities to ask questions and share experiences.

9.30-11am, FREE A baby-friendly space at Zest for you and your little one. We’ll add soft mats and toys and make room for your pram so you can enjoy that well-deserved cup of coffee.
