도록 하는 것이 주요한 미션이다. 연극, 춤, 인형극 등 아동 및 가족들을 위한 예술공연과 극장 소속 의 전문 예술강사가 진행하는 예술교육, 체험 프로그램과 더불어 전문가 역량강화 연수 프로그램 등을 운영하고 있다. www.newvictory.org

뉴 빅토리 씨어터를 다녀간 2백만 명의 방문객들에게 있어서 이 곳의 경험은 단순한 무대 공연 관람 이상의 경험입니다. 환하게 미소 짓는 뉴 빅토리 진행 요원의 인사를 받으며 들어선 로비에는 무료 보관함, 유모차 보관소, 보조 의자 등 가족 친화적인 여러 가 지 편의 시설이 구비되어 있고, 무대 위 공연 프로그램에 연계된

나이가 들어도 계속 가고 싶은 극장

토리는 뉴욕시 소재의 학교들에게 라이브 공연을 가장 많이 제공 하는 단체이기도 합니다. 뉴 빅토리는 수상 경력에 빛나는 교육

이번 시즌으로 설립 20주년을 맞게 된 뉴 빅토리 씨어터(The

우리는 뉴 빅토리 씨어터에 공헌 이들을 기리기 위해 뉴 빅토리 예술상(New Victory Arts Award)을 제정하였고, 예술과 예술 교 육이 상상력과 창의성을 함양한다는 신념에 따라 아동의 복지를 위해 노력한 개인이나 단체를 선정하여 시상하고 있습니다. 현재 까지 뉴 빅토리 예술상을 수상한 이들은 토니상(Tony Awards®) 수상자인 빌 어윈, 짐 헨슨 재단 이사장인 셰릴 헨슨, 호주 예술 문 화원, 대중 문화 산업의 리더인 마이클 D. 아이스너, 다방면의 재 능을 가진 배우 존 리스고우입니다.

뉴 빅토리 씨어터의 역사

의 공연으로 브로드웨이 역사상 세 번째로 오래 공연한 작품 명단 에 올라 있습니다.

오랜 고담시의 매력

극장 건물의 장식에 대해 이 시기에 대대적인 보수 공사가 진행되

베니스풍의 건물 외벽과 웅장한 계단, 장식적인 램프 등을 갖춘

가든(The Paradise Roof Gardens)에는 네덜란드의 마을이 미니 어처로 꾸며져 있었는데, 실제 오리와 닭, 젖소 등이 있었고 우유

벌레스크 시대

도우미가 방문한 아이들에게 직접 신선한 우유를 짜 주기도 했습

1930년대에 들어서자, 빌리 민스키가 극장을 브로드웨이 최초의

뉴 42번가 수습 직원이 되면 관객과 아티스트, 예술 행정에 종사 하는 이들과 정기적으로 접촉해야 하는 등 여러 가지 광범위한 책 임을 수행하게 됩니다. 또한 전 세계로부터 온 다양한 공연 프로 그램을 근거리에서 직접 관람할 수 있는 혜택과 더불어, 공연 예 술을 감상하고 이해하는 능력을 키울 수 있습니다. 두 곳 모두 직 업 훈련과 동시에 삶에 필요한 기술을 배우는 워크숍(시간 관리와 이력서 작성, 개인 재무 관리 등의 주제로 진행)에 유급으로 참여 하는 기회를 제공하고 있습니다.

뉴 빅토리 진행 요원단은 매년 약 50명의 뉴욕 청소년들에게 유 급 일자리와 함께 직업 훈련, 학업 지원, 멘토링, 공연 예술에 대 한 소개 등을 제공하고 있습니다. 엄격한 3년 프로그램 계약의 뉴 빅토리 진행 요원은 관객을 보조하고 공공 안전을 지도하며 가족 을 위한 예술 기반의 워크숍에서 보조 교사 역할을 담당하고 해당 워크숍에 참여하면서 전 세계에서 온 아티스트와 함께 작업하는 뉴 빅토리 진행 요원단(NEW VICTORY Usher Corps)의 대표인 센디 브루나드(가운데)

무를 다양하게 보조하고 비영리 문화 기관을 운영하는 실무에도

뉴 빅토리 어린이 주간

참여할 수 있습니다.

어린이 주간에는 새로운 기법을 배우고 숨은 재능을 발굴하며 공 연의 전율을 느낄 수 있도록 흥미진진한 기회를 제공합니다. 극장 창작의 새로운 측면을 알고 싶어하는 7세부터 11세까지의 아동을

대상으로 특별히 고안된 이 프로그램은 뉴 빅토리 교육 담당자와 예술 강사의 지도를 받는 일주일 간의 경험을 통해 가족과 친구들

뉴 빅토리가 제공하는 기회를 통해 아이들과 가족들은 뉴 빅토리

의 기억에 남을 쇼케이스를 제작해 냅니다.

NEW VICTORY Usher Corps provides paid employment, job training, academic support, mentorship and an introduction to the performing arts for approximately 50 young New Yorkers each year.
