Japanese Heritage Tour 8 Days/7 Nights

DAY 1: ARRIVAL IN TOKYO Arrive in Tokyo, Japan’s iconic mega-city whose bustling modern culture lives harmoniously with its traditional heritage. Be greeted by our airport representative who will assist you with boarding the right train or shuttle bus to your hotel. Welcome dinner on a boat by the Sumida river. DAY 2: TOKYO Today, head out with a professional guide to see some of Tokyo’s most iconic sights riding the city’s public transit. First stop at the famous Meiji Jinjia, Tokyo’s most famous shrine dedicated to Emperor Meiji. Then, time travel from the “old” Tokyo to “new” Tokyo, on a stroll to Omotesando, Tokyo’s Champs-Elysee, a broad, tree-lined avenue with a multitude of fashion flagship stores designed by internationally renowned architects. Stop and shop or simply stroll through the charming neighbouring alleyways before catching a subway ride to Asakusa, the city’s oldest Geisha district and also the home to Tokyo’s oldest Buddhist temple. After your temple visit roam around the charming exterior reminiscent of the Tokyo of yesterday. Stroll along the streets and soak in the atmosphere from the traditional shops selling artisanal crafts and souvenirs. Next, hop on a boat ride down the Sumida River to see Tokyo new perspective. Dock at Hama-Rikyu Teien, the former private garden of an Edo Period lord. Take a scenic walk through the peaceful garden before stopping for a rest at the lakeside tea house,Nakajima No Chaya.Here, enjoy a refreshing cup of matcha tea, overlooking the park for a relaxing end to your day. DAY 3: TOKYO Free day to explore Tokyo on own. You can either get up at dawn to visit the famous

Tsukji Fish Market; or wander the electronics district of Akihabara or discover Tokyo’s world-class museums and art galleries. Or you may choose to visit nearby Nikko and Kamakura. DAY 4: NOTO PENINSULA Transfer to airport on a private coach to take a morning flight from Haneda airport to Noto Peninsula. Fully guided day tour of Noto Peninsula visiting Wakura Onsen, Mitsukejima Island and the Okunoto Coast. Tonight, stay in a traditional Ryokan in a Janaese style room. DAY 5: KANAZAWA After leisurely morning breakfast, check out of the hotel and board your private coach to Gokayama, is a place of precipitous mountains and deep valleys known for the traditional gassho-zukuri houses and recognized as a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage Site. Enjoy lunch at one of the traditional houses prepared fresh by a local family. Overnight in Kanazwa. DAY 6: KANAZAWA Today,after breakfast take a sightseeing bus tour of the city, visiting Kanazawa’s geisha district Kazuemachi-District, the peaceful samurai villa Terashima Kurando House, Lunch in Owaricho District, Kanazawa Castle Park and Castle Remains, Kenroku-en Garden, and D.T. Suzuki Museum. DAY 7: KANAZAWA Today enjoy a free day in Kanazawa. You may choose to visit one of the many museums, take in some shopping or just relax in a nearby onsen. DAY 8: KANAZAWA TO TOKYO Today,after breakfast enjoy the bullet train back to Tokyo where we depart.

Accommodation: (7) nights in a double standard room at 4 star hotels including one night in traditional ryokan in Japanese style room.

Transfers: Meet and greet at the airport and return transfers to the airport. Domestic flight from Tokyo to Noto and bullet train from Kanazawa to Tokyo Day 8. Private coach during transfer and sightseeing as mentioned in the program.

Meals: (7) Breakfast, (2) Dinner, (3) Lunch Entrances: All entrance fees as mentioned in the itinerary during sightseeing days. Other: Tour director/guide for duration of the tour. English-speaking local guide in Tokyo (Day 2) and Noto (4) Gokayma (5) Â and Kanazawa (Day 6).

Price: Land tour is $5699 per person sharing double room. Deposits: In order to reserve your spot on this once in a lifetime tour of Japan, initial deposit of $2500 is due at booking. If booking air with Kamapeque Tours & Travel, air must be paid in full at time of deposit. Final payment due 60 days before departure. All payments and deposits are non-refundable.
