There are five Truth and Reconciliation Calls to Action (#87–91) dedicated to sport. As our country and community take steps towards reconciliation, sport is an avenue that can promote and celebrate Indigenous culture. The City of Kamloops and community sport partners held a Day in Sport: Ready, Set, Revive in June 2022 and hosted an Indigenous Games and Energizers session. This workshop provided coaches with knowledge and understanding on how to play and adapt sport fundamentals and activities by using an Indigenous cultural lens.
