Who we are

Spin off of EDF (French Utility) group, founded in march 2014. 10 employees. EDF S&F commercialize software solutions for forecasting, planning and optimal automatic control of renewable power production and energy storage systems.

By using our solutions, producers, grid operators and consumers wishing to invest in storage, optimize both system sizing and real-time operation. EDF Store & Forecast services range from engineering to software implementation and O&M.

MC HENRY project (EDF RE) First industrial project for ancillary services by storage, in Illinois USA : 20 MW – 8 MWh of Li-ion batteries connected to medium voltage grid. Commissioning in December 2015. Procurement of Energy Management Software to control the injected power following a reference signal sent by the TSO (PJM) and guaranteeing optimal compromise between real-time mileage performance and battery lifetime extension.

OPERA Project (Mayotte utility) Answers to the Mayotte utility key issues: increase electric grid security (40 MW peak demand) and reduce photovoltaic dedicated primary reserve (done by thermal power plant) On-sites industrial auditing for evaluation of demand response potential, and engineering study for optimal sizing of battery combined to demand response and PV forecasts for ramp control and minimum power guarantee of the total production considering the 71 PV installations (13 MWp) of the island.

Storage design for PV project in French Island 2015 French call for tender for PV + battery in non interconnected island. •

Developpment of optimzed algorithm to firm the production plan :  Production plan delcare day ahead at 1 min step time between -5% and 70% of installed PV capacity between 6h and 19h and at least 20% between 19h and 21h. Possibility to declare 3 times intraday (10h, 12h, 14h)  Power slope between 0,3% / minute and 0,6% / minute;  Power delivered at point of connection must be ± 5% of the anouncment

Results of the tender: Average proposed price by IPP: 215 €/MWh + 200 €/MWh bonus during peak time.
