I chose to speak about an artwork from Eugène Delacroix, realized in 1880 and called “La liberté guidant le people”. Since 1874 this painting is located in the Louvre Museum in Paris. It's a symbol of freedom, democracy, French Republic.

Description of this artwork: Historical situation:

The painter explained that he wanted to represent three days of the popular Parisian uprising against Charles X. After that artwork Delacroix will be considered as the leader of the romantic field.

In my opinion, this painting is the symbol of freedom and french Revolution. I like it a lot.

The scene happened in the streets of Paris. We can see in the background Notre Dame Cathedral. We can find a lot of bodies from soldiers. The main character of this painting is the woman who appears with the French flag in the hand, her chest is completely naked. We can also see children around her, and people with guns.
