Project proposal

To design a range of institutional furniture targeting classroom spaces for students. The design solution should mainly use plywood and square section pipe as material and also focus on the quality of design in terms of aesthetics, functionality and mass manufacturing. The design is for strengthening the current portfolio of the company Trevi (institutional furniture manufacturer and supplier)

Objective of the project 1. Understand the concept of collaborative learning with respect to Indian institutions. 2. Analyze the positioning of collaborative learning today and the future scope of it in India. 3. Explore a range of reasonable, comfortable and aesthetically unique furniture and identify the needs of the Indian students, teachers and their activities in an institution. 4. Create an experience for the students and staff through furniture which adds comfort and value to their lives. 5. Model ideas, gain feedback and come up with furniture range. 6. Gain experience, insights and understanding of working process in industry and with team. 7. Assist Trevi in becoming leaders in institutional furniture sector in India.
