EMPLOYMENT SURVEY 2014
DEAR KAOSPILOT ALMUNI As many of you already know, the school has undertaken an evaluation prior to the budget negotiations of 2014. As a part of the evaluation process the school has carried out an employment survey amongst the graduates of the school. The survey, was posted on our website, and is one many of you participated in - thus the school wish to thank you for your time and participation! It has been a big help and it is very much appreciated. As a little treat we have compiled the most interesting and informative data about employment, salary, entrepreneurship and continuing education. We hope you will find this little pamphlet helpful as well as insightful. Enjoy! Best Christer Windeløv-LidzÊlius Bo Blaabjerg

The main areas of recruitment in which KP graduates work are: 1. Consultancy & Advisory 2. Communication & PR 3. Education- for adults 4. Culture 5. Marketing & Branding

SALARY A challenge for KaosPilot graduates is that they are not industry specific and hence do not belong to a specific trade union thus it is difficult, especially for newly graduated students, to obtain information regarding the average salary. As a service to our graduates, we have calculated the approx. average salary depending on job experience, i.e. employment seniority, and whether one is an entrepreneur or employee. It is important to clarify that the average salary is calculated based on the respondents that describe themselves as full-time employed, i.e. in positions of 37 hours a week.
4
The average salary for full-time entrepreneurs that have had their own businesses for less than five years are approx. 33.996 while the entrepreneurs with businesses that have existed for more than five years have an average monthly income of approx. 43.323. It is not surprising that full-time employees in general enjoy a slightly higher salary. Employees with less than five years of experience have a monthly income of approx. 39.259, while employees with more than 5 years of experience from the job market are the most well paid group of graduates, as this group in average earn approx. 50.521.
ENTREPRENEURS FULL-TIME AND PART-TIME Approximately 67% of the respondents have at some point in time been entrepreneurs with their own businesses. 53, 8% of the respondents are current entrepreneurs. 33,3% make a living as full time entrepreneurs, while 20,5% manage a company as a secondary occupation. Looking into the data, it becomes evident that 42% of the entrepreneurs create sustainable businesses that exist for more than 5 years.

Consequently the current minimum acceptance requirement regarding education is that applicants have passed some form of high school/secondary school education.

As the survey illustrates almost half the students, i.e. 47,8%, are accepted based on youth/ high school education. The second largest cluster of respondents, i.e. 23,9%, is made up of people that have attended university but not received a formal degree. The third noticeable cluster, i.e. 13,6% of the respondents, have obtained a university bachelor before deciding to apply for the KP education. After completing the KP education 72,6% of the respondents state that they have not been accepted into any other education based on the KP education while 27,4% have. The recurring issue highlighted by this question is that KP alumni encounters very different outcomes when asking established educational institutions to accredit their KP diploma. This illustrates the relevance of the evaluation, as we hope it might assist our graduates in their onward journey.
