What am I doing here Karin van der Molen
What am I doing here Traveling in an old van through the Balkans to Armenia, I found the landscape impregnated with beauty, snippets of old culture, discarded left overs of socialist times and absurdism. It pushed me into the question, what I am doing here. What am I witnessing, what defines my relationship to the situation and how do I react in a spontaneous, direct way? The result is a series of photographs of my ephemeral art interventions in the local environment of that day. Idea, performance: Karin van der Molen Photography: Pat van Boeckel Part one What am I doing here Through Hungary and Rumania to Bulgaria Part two The burden of civilization. From Turkey to Armenia
