Proposal Project Overview 20 Latin American female artists, 80 works, 1 theme: "The female universe" Through the illustrations, each artist responds in a personal way to the questions: What is the female universe? What makes me a woman? What represents me as such? What are my achievements and my losses? Or what are the achievements or defeats of women in this path of struggle to equality? Each artist at the same time has an imprint of her own in the way she tells her vision either through color, forms, denunciation, comedy, everyday life and even eroticism.
ANNA DENARDIN I am a self-taught 21 years old Brazilian artist who uses watercolor and ink to illustrate the relationship between the female cyclicity and the cycles of nature, the phases of the moon and the seasons of the year. The female archetypes, the universe, the spirituality, the subjective and the occult are recurrent themes in my work.

FERNANDA LIMA My art is a mirror to my relationships. To the people I shared kisses, feelings, a few words or just cigarettes. Lovers, friends, mates or strangers on the streets. They always carry that feeling of emptiness that I try to fulfill in my work and that also try to fulfill my universe as a woman and an artist.

LEVITA "I specialize in creating fantastic worlds, parallel universes with beasts that replicate a part of my imaginary; in the living also strange beings that are part of my world, these, in turn, betray the honesty of my innermost being, they are my words to communicate my ideas. This is part of the beats that make up my existence, my gender, my desires and fears. These fantastic worlds are what I describe in my art and my drawings.

Mara lives today in Berlin where her restless soul has recently asked her to draw constantly. Since then Mara has combined her creative writing with visual arts. Her drawings are a mix of simplicity and humor, spontaniety and satire, irony along with biting social and political criticism.

XIMENA ARIAS Through my work I seek to fill the image with words, add a visual definition and turn simple and everyday life moments into something special, give an image to dreams, to what we feel, to fill silence with images and bring into reality visions that appear on thoughts but they rapidly lose into memory.

ZOU I’m a lunar woman. I believe I am all the women in the world, for all of them live within me in harmony, with their feet on the ground, the stones, the clay, and the carpet. I'm a dreamy woman, I've wrought my roots in a lake where love and two hundred color pencils float to create myself every single day. I've colored my being and I've learned by my own means. I love sweets in all its bodies, a loving hug, sugar, chocolate.
