CULTURAL CENTER - FRED KULTURHUSET IN BISPEBJERG DISTRICT OF COPENHAGEN

Fred Kulturhuset is an open public center. The facility was designed to meet the goals of sustainable development through interior arrangements - which embody justice and accessibility; external - which welcomes everyone regardless of their origin and religion; carefully selected materials - to ensure the lowest possible environmental impact. It is a facility that aims to provide a high-quality innovative cultural center with workshops encouraging creativity. Fire Door EI 60: -Thickness: 62 mm - leafs are stainless steel each 25 mm with inorganic insulation in between 10 160-300 mm Assembly Process for the Trench Heaters 1. Put the trench heater into the floor opening and if in more than one piece, join together using the bolts- Door Frame 1 mm stainless steel with mounting holes provided. - Auto-lock mechanism 2. Level the top of the trench to the finished floor level along the length of the trench run using M10 - Sealent at the bottom adjustable splayed feet/studs, up to 30mm adjustment is possible.. Assembling process 1. Prefabricated deck element is placed; reinforcement casted. Staircase landing si placed (sealant under the landing) 2. Hard insulation (Kingspan Styrozone) is placed considering the slope of 2.5% toward drainage pipe. 2. PE foil is placed. Foam glass insulation and sloped Kingspan Styrozone are placed with Aquazone membrane separation inbetween 3. Door frame is installed and fixed. 4. Protection fleece and is placed and covered with the filter fleece. 5. Gravel layer is placed (in the door opening area is sloped 1:20). Growing medium is placed with a slope 1:20 in needed access slope area. 6. Finishes for the indoor area are placed. 7. Gravel retainers are placed and the space inbetween retainers and door filled up with washed river stones. 8. Growing medium is placed. Vegetation mat on top.

The basic assumption of the project is to create a place of public space promoting religious tolerance and cultural sharing for the diverse community of the city of Copenhagen. It aims to establish a cultural center facility, adapt and transform an existing substation into a shelter providing social assistance. Efforts were made to influence the local space by creating the building that would functionally and architecturally meet social problems. The project is also an opinion on the links between architecture and intercultural dialogue.

The main design assumption is to create a media library along with the transformation of the surrounding area. The goal is to shape an attractive and friendly environment that promotes reading and broadens knowledge in various fields. It is also an attempt to answer the problem of the reading decrease and knowledge expantion of the pop culture field, among young people. It aims to provide a supporting language learning center through special spaces for international talks. The cultural center would be mainly focused on the local community, but also encouraging the population of the entire city of Lublin to use its potential.



INFILL OF MULTI- STOREY SOCIAL HOUSING IN HORSENS, DENMARK

The project provides the desing of the multi-storey social housing in Horsens, Denmark. The main idea is to combine simplicity, function, economic efficiency, tradition and harmony, without forgetting the elegance and visual modernity of the building proposal. The use of sustainable construction measures is an important point of the whole concept - designing housing that will eliminate any interference and noise, also increasing the amount of natural light, using local materials and ecological technologies. The concept also provides the design for the ground floor as offices to fully utilize the potential of the location and design area. This is to create new jobs and provide functional diversity in the existing urban planning.



LANDSCAPE PLANNING OF THE CZERNIEJÓWKA RIVER TERRAIN IN THE CITY OF LUBLIN

The project provides the concept for the space of the Czerniejówka River Valley that assumes the creation of an attractive activity path directed to the local community, regardless of age. The space that fits into the valley is an area with great urban development potential, though requiring transformation. To meet the expectations, a created space was divided into zones for children, youngs, adults and the elderly; promoting an active and healthy lifestyle and encouraging neighborly interactions. Dozens of stations have been located offering, among others: outdoor gym; attractions for small children - playground, etc .; team games pitch; treadmill; a recreational space, as well as a bicycle path extending through the entire area with a special bicycle station.



UNDER THE BRIDGE KONKURS - BEYOND GROWTH KITAKYUSHU, JAPONIA

Karolina Ewa Piotrowska, Agata Jankowska Project data: Concept competition project for Beyond Growth [November 2018] Location: Kitakyushu, Japan

The project is the answer to the problem of shrinking cities in the Wakamatsu - Tobata region in Japan. Districts, divided by a water channel, are falling apart, and their connection is becoming a growing social and urban problem. The main idea of ​​the design is the renovation of the existing bridge and the use of usually unused space under it. It is proposed to use this area for a new suspension bridge. The route offers the communication for the pedestrians and cyclists, also providing a friendly space for social use. Making the concept more attractive, it was proposed to create a cable car as an additional means of transport between the shores, but also suggesting entertainment possibilities of the existing space. The green path was also established connecting both districts and binding them into an urban whole.



NEW SOLVAY CAMPUS BRUSSELS, BELGIUM

The design for the new sustainable headquarters for the global chemical company, Solvay, is located in Brussels, Belgium. The new building, located on the 22-hectare, will not be a typical corporate office, but rather a fluid, collaborative space where teams and partners can co-create and interact. The design represents the essence of what this transitional time means for the Solvay organization. It expresses Solvay’s humanist vision of science fostering innovation and attracting talent.

PROJECT TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Working in Revit program - including: placing components and creating new families as well as modeling, cleaning and implementing design changes in the model; organizing AutoCAD files with the concept of free-standing parking, as well as preparing models and sketches in Sketch Up.

Preparation of the demonstration materials presenting the latest project changes for meetings with clients, including preparation of sketches and presentation materials documenting the external and internal communication flow on the site and in the building itself.

Designing the outdoor parking as a free-standing building and implementing all changes and updates within the model, 2D drawings, as well as sketches and presentation materials to visualize and document the project.

Preparing sketches on the sanitary design options in the Cores for engineers and clients. An additional task was to prepare a preliminary draft of fire safety and hydrant positioning sketch with understanding of Belgian fire safety legislation rules.
