Friendship Blooms Show your appreciation for a fellow member of the community; it may be a friend, a family member or maybe someone you’ve come into contact with who provides a wonderful service Beverley Kennedy or who works hard to make a difference. Let All Things Local surprise them with a fresh bouquet of flowers. All Things Local has joined forces with Beverley Kennedy (pictured) from Floraline, Gregory’s Way in Belper, to offer readers the chance to show their appreciation for a fellow member of the community. The recipient of this issue’s bouquet is Helen Radford, a member of staff at Belper School. Helen was nominated by Tina Fielding, parent of a student at the school. Here’s what Tina wrote: “Helen is amazing, very understanding and very helpful in what have been difficult times for everyone. She goes above and beyond in her job and never complains about any queries you have. She is non-judgemental, helpful, kind and so supportive in her role and as a person. She truly is a shining star and I wouldn’t have managed without her help and support. She would say it is her job but we all know some people really excel in their positions and want to make a difference, and some just fill in the time. Helen deserves to be recognised for her hard work.” Tina Fielding Nominate someone to receive the next bouquet. All you have to do is state, in no more than 100 words, who you are nominating. Include their address and the reasons why you are nominating them. You can nominate more than one person if they are living/working at the same address… and remember – flowers don’t just have to be for women! The only rule is that the person receiving the flowers must live or work in the distribution area of All Things Local, Belper Edition (listed on front cover). Just write your nomination on a piece of paper and send to Friendship Blooms, All Things Local, 74 Woodhouse Road, Kilburn, Belper, Derbyshire DE56 0NA or e-mail your nomination to helen@allthingslocal.co.uk putting ‘Friendship Blooms’ as the subject. Please include your full name, address and daytime telephone number on your nomination.
