We promised “change” and provision of public service delivery to all citizens, living in Pakistan and abroad. During my tenure we have primarily focused on improving service delivery and facilitating citizens to the best of our capacities including helping the people of Pakistan in a battle against corona virus. The ministry is playing a lead role in the national effort and decision making at the level of NCC and NCOC, established as a response to COVID-19 pandemic.
The duties that we perform at the Ministry of Interior are challenging and sensitive. Risk assessment plays a key role in our decision making process. It helps us gauge the probability and impact of undesired events. The challenges in security assurance are both difficult and interesting and I am proud to say that our people are working on them with enthusiasm, tenacity and dedication to develop new methods of analysis and come up with solutions to keep up with the ever-changing threats. In this time where world has transformed into a global village, it is significant that we must secure all our fronts to ensure that we keep up with the international pace.
Ministry of Interior has achieved progress on the anti-terrorism front while boasting tourism by making this country safer for the visitors who want to come and enjoy the beauty of Pakistan. To help boost tourism, Interior Ministry started issuing online and electronic visas for citizens of 175 countries which is vital in bringing in foreign investment to our country. All these projects have been undertaken by keeping up the vision of Prime Minister Imran Khan for Naya Pakistan and we will continue to protect and serve our country.
