Enhanced Capacity of Panagahas

For needy, poor and homeless people, and as per vision of the Prime Minister three panahgahs have been established. The citizens availing this facility are offered 3 times meal, medical facility and comfortable night stay.

Mobile Apps

The ICTA has launched “Durust-Daam” mobile app which is available on Google PlayStore and Apple iOS. The same has been downloaded by more than 20,000 citizens. In this app, prices of essential commodities, fruits, vegetables and poultry products are updated on daily basis. Moreover, in order to ensure availability of these items on government notified rates, ICT Administration has started home delivery service in partnership with two private sector companies.

Online Token Tax payment

Excise and Taxation Department in collaboration with NBP has introduced Online Token Tax payment. Now people can deposit their Token Taxes through Easy Paisa, Jazz Cash and similar other

mobile payment agents. Moreover, online appointment system and online application forms have also been introduced to facilitate vehicle owners.

Enforcement of minimum wages through bank payment

The instructions to this effect have been issued by Directorate of Industries and Labour, ICT to Islamabad Chamber of Commerce as well as to the owners of shops / establishments / factories. However, in order to give legal cover to payment of salaries through banking channels, amendments have been proposed in Minimum Wages Rules, 1962 and Payment of Wages Act, 1936. Price Control & Adulteration

Price Control: The ICT Administration has taken number of measures to check price hike and is trying to maintain balance between supply and demand through curbing the tendency of price hike, profiteering, hoarding in order to provide relief to common man.

Performance of Price Control Magistrates is as under:

Shops checked: 196; Fine imposed: Rs. 346,000/- Adulteration: ICT Administration is fully committed to eliminate this menace by executing regular checking through Food Department and Magistrates. The ramps, wheelchairs and counters for special/senior citizens at all facilitation centers and service delivery points have been established in Chief Commissioner Office, Deputy Commissioner Office & Excise & Taxation Department.
