Ibn`Umar reported, "The Prophet, peace be upon him, said, ` When you pass by a garden of paradise, avail yourselves of it. ' The Companions asked, `What are the gardens of Paradise, O Messenger of Allah?" The Prophet, peace be upon him, replied, `The assemblies of dhikr. There are some angels of Allah who go about looking for such assemblies of dhikr, and when they find them they surround them.'

A Realms of Courtyard and Garden Rawdah, The Garden of Heaven.
The Garden of heaven is the highest representation of cosmology in Islam that been applied in the world. First applied in Prophet mosque of “Masjidil Nabawi� where the original area are called Rawdah ( Garden of heaven) . The manifestation of the Garden of heaven also could be associated with the assemblies of dhikir and knowledge ceremonies as the mentioned hadith :

Courtyard, the basic forms of Prophet mosque. Islamic architecture is always been associated with courtyard. Courtyard give a level of privacy, an expansion of indoor space and as a entrance to another realms.
The earliest forms of courtyard was traced back during the Prophet time where the mosque in Madinah was built with a large courtyard and shaded veranda at the qibla wall. Courtyard definition - 7th edition oxford advanced learner’s dictionary.
Courtyard : an open space that is partly or completely surrounded by buildings and is usually part of a castle, a large house. Ie. Central- inner courtyard.
