“MAN NATURE” ACADEMIC WEEK INSTALLATION
theme : ideas man nature , a positive relations is a theme for the 4th civil engineering. The theme is an expression of the unique relationship between man and nature . The task is to design and built a simple backdrop and printing works to be used during the academic week. First phase of the task is to design a theme and the awarded design that been selected by the jury will then be developed further.
Previous events tend to create a backdrop that will be fixed on a flat plane. A 3d forms is much more architecturally appreciated where it will reveals the quality of forms such as shadows, depth and shape. We try to manipulate the forms to create the dynamic composition for the backdrop from a simple cube that will be manipulated to create a dynamic backdrop composition.

Simple mock up model is constructed to visualize the ideas. The cube will be covered with the printed media (with related theme images) . In the same time, another team is given a task to complete the banner.

progress : installation Two types of installation have to be done : backdrop & gimmick. Due to the time constrains and limited number of classmate, the wooden cube is subcontracted to another team.

Final touch up to the backdrop with minimal use of redundant decorations. Additional cube is placed around the exhibition area & hall to further enhance the experience.
