SOIL
From 1945 - 1973 Sydhavnsttipen coast was formed from unloading of construction waste, soil and landfills from civil engineering in Copenhagen. This made the lands soil contaminated that pollutes groundwater. Forestarium project aims to use trees plantation on Sydhavnstippen to clear groundwater through nitrogen filtration.

GOALS
New forest plantation at Forestarium includes: •
transported trees from nuseries 0-5 years planted together with Forestarium construction
•
new tree seedlings 0-1 years ready to be planted by Forestarium visitors throughout 8 years

MANAGEMENT
Points to remember throughout management of new forest plantation: •
New seedling protection from invasive species and animals • Application of nessesary pescitides for transported trees protection • Even water distribution • Supporting poles for growing tree • Soil nutrition under the tree through leafs decomposition
