Thursday 28 March Enjoy a day discovering Buckfast Abbey, one of the most popular tourist attractions in Devon. It is home to a community of Benedictine monks and has a magnificent abbey, tranquil gardens, unusual shops, plus a thousand years of history to explore!

Depart 9.00am and arrive by 12.30am approx. Depart 4.00pm and return by 7.30pm approx.

Bakewell & Peak Village

Discover the beautiful reservoirs of the Elan Valley, an area of spectacular beauty and abundant wildlife in the heart of mid Wales. After a stop at the Visitor Centre, enjoy a scenic drive around the reservoirs, following the River Severn to Newtown and then home.

Visit the bustling weekly market in the quaint Derbyshire town of Bakewell perhaps most famous for its puddings! After time to browse the many stalls we head to the Peak Village Shopping Outlet to discover more shopping bargains.

Tuesday 2 April Enjoy a day at this World Heritage Site, home to the National Maritime Museum, The Royal Observatory and the Queen’s House. You can also enjoy a walk along the River Thames or in Greenwich Park or browse the quirky, independent shops and street markets.

Wednesday 3 April Visit one of the finest Tudor towns in England! Situated on the River Severn, explore Shrewsbury’s narrow streets and black and white, halftimbered houses. Wednesday is market day so you can enjoy browsing the stalls and soaking up the atmosphere.

Thursday 4 April Dating back to Roman times, Chester has much to offer and the city retains its atmospheric main streets. Visit the Medieval, two-tiered ‘Rows’ shopping galleries, the lovely cathedral, Roman Ampitheatre and explore the city walls.

Friday 5 April This magnificent city has something for everyone, from the remnants of the city walls to the iconic Minster. With great attractions including the Railway Museum, Jorvik Viking Centre, Castle Museum and York Dungeons. The choice is yours!

MAKING ENQUIRIES & BOOKING YOUR EXCURSIONS 4 PAY ONE PRICE – All Express Excursions have a flat fare of £17 per person. NO ADMISSION OR ATTRACTION CHARGES ARE INCLUDED. CHOOSE YOUR SEAT – Choose where you would like to sit on the coach and we will confirm this when you book your excursion. Your allocated seat number will relate to the plan on the right. ONE BOARDING POINT WITH FREE PARKING – For a quick start and smooth end to the day, there is just one boarding point, the car park at our premises near Henley. It is safe, secure, well lit and you can park all day here free of charge. Directions: Our premises are situated one mile north of Henley, on the A3400, travelling towards Birmingham. Upon arrival, enter via the ‘Entrance’ gateway and follow the signs for ‘Express Parking’. For passengers being dropped off and collected later, there is ample space. TRAVEL IN COMFORT – All coaches used on Express Excursions will be from our top class touring fleet, equipped with air conditioning, reclining seats and toilet. NO SMOKING – Enjoy a great atmosphere! Please remember that we operate a no smoking policy on all coaches.

BOOKING CONDITIONS

ENQUIRIES – Contact our Travel Offices at Liveridge Hill, Henley-in-Arden (on the Birmingham Road, A3400 north of Henley). BOOKINGS – A simple telephone call is all that is needed to secure your place. Bookings for Express Excursions may be made up to 5pm on the day before departure, or up to 12 noon on a Saturday for a Monday departure. Alternatively, book online at www.johnsonscoaches.co.uk CONFIRMATION OF BOOKING – We require payment in full within 7 days of booking. We will then send you a confirmation/receipt which is also your ticket for the excursion. If payment is not received within this time, your booking will be cancelled. METHODS OF PAYMENT – Cash, cheque, debit and credit cards are acceptable. Please make cheques payable to: ‘Johnsons Coach Travel’. Please note there is a 2% charge for payments made by credit card. REDUCTIONS – There are no reductions for Senior Citizens or Children on Express Excursions. CANCELLATION (a) By the Company – If, due to less than 20 bookings, we are forced to cancel any excursion, we reserve the right to do so up to 2 working days prior to departure. All monies paid by passengers will be refunded and following that, we shall be exempt from further liability. (b) By the Passenger – You may cancel your booking at any time, subject to these conditions: (i) With more than 2 working days prior to departure you will receive a refund of £5.00 per person. (ii) With less than 2 working days notice, the £17 per person fare is non-refundable. ALTERATIONS – The company reserves the right to alter or cancel any excursion listed in this brochure, or to change the size and specification of vehicle used. UNACCOMPANIED CHILDREN – Children under the age of 15 must be accompanied by an adult of at least 18 years of age.
