PREPARE TO APPLY APPLICATION OPTIONS There are two ways to apply for admission to Auburn. You should choose the application you are most comfortable submitting. There is no advantage in the admission process to using one application over the other, and there is no separate application for merit scholarships. Option 1 - Apply through Auburn University This is our general university application available on our admissions website. It is a great option if you feel more comfortable using each individual school’s application rather than the Common App. Option 2 - Apply through the Common Application Auburn University, along with nearly 900 other institutions, accepts the Common App, making it more convenient for you to apply to several colleges at one time.
TIPS BEFORE YOU APPLY Check the Important Dates and Deadlines: It is important for you to stay up-to-date on submitted documents for admission and scholarships. Keep a calendar with important standardized tests, admission and scholarship dates and deadlines. Test Scores: Get your test score in early! Have you ACT and/or SAT scores send to Auburn University. We want to make sure you have all the appropriate test scores on file before the deadline. Auburn ACT Code: 0011 Auburn SAT Code: 1005
Research majors: Auburn offers more than 150 formal undergraduate majors, which are housed in 12 colleges. Go to auburn.edu/admissions/majors to get a better look at what Auburn has to offer! Admitted Portal: Following your acceptance for admission, visit your Admitted Portal at aub.ie/admittedportal to make sure that Auburn has received the appropriate test scores on file that will be used in scholarship consideration. AUSOM: The Auburn University Scholarship Opportunity Manager (AUSOM) will be available in late fall. Following acceptance, we encourage you to complete the scholarship application for general and departmental scholarship consideration as early as possible!

COMPLETE YOUR APPLICATION Here are some tips to help you navigate the application.
SELECT YOUR TERM AND PLAN Start by selecting the term in which you expect to begin at Auburn. The majority of freshmen will select the Fall 2023 entry term as a 2023-2024 freshman. Next, familiarize yourself with our application deadlines and select your preferred admission plan. The requirements are the same whether you apply Early Action or Regular Decision, and all of our admissions plans are nonbinding. Finally, decide if you want your ACT or SAT scores considered as part of your admission and scholarship decision. You have until your credentials deadline to change your testing plan through your Admissions Portal. Refer to the Important Dates and Deadlines based on the admission plan you selected. Remember, we superscore both the SAT and ACT, which means we will use your best subscores from different test dates to give you an overall higher score.
SELECT YOUR MAJOR First, select the college your major falls under. View our full list of colleges and majors on the admissions website. Then, select a major. If you’re unsure of what you want to study, you can select “Undeclared.”
ENTER YOUR HIGH SCHOOL INFORMATION Add your high school information and your weighted GPA as listed on your transcript. We do not require your class rank, so you do not need to worry about getting that from your school counselor.
UPLOAD YOUR TRANSCRIPT Obtain a copy of your high school transcript, or take a clear photo if you have a paper copy. Make sure that your name, high school name and your grades through your junior year are clearly displayed. You can double-check this in the preview before you upload the file. You may upload a PDF or JPG file.
STEP 4

Student are able to apply with an approved fee waiver by selecting “Fee Waiver” in the payment section of the application. When this option is selected, fee waiver documentation will be required to complete the applicant file and be considered for a decision. We currently accept the following fee waiver documentation: ACT/SAT waivers, NACAC fee waiver, or free or reduced lunch program certificates. This documentation can be uploaded to the Applicant Portal, emailed to appfee@auburn. edu, or mailed to Admission Processing (1150 E. Glenn Ave., Suite 1210, Auburn, AL 36830).
