AUBURN Travel Award Program
About the Award
Auburn University remains committed to enhancing access, affordability and recruiting the best and brightest. We recognize that visiting campus is a key part of the college selection process, but that cost can be a prohibitive factor when it comes to visiting colleges for many students. Experience Auburn makes the visit experience a possibility for students with demonstrated outstanding academic achievement and financial need. We offer a limited number of travel awards each year for students who are unable to afford the expense of traveling to campus. This award contributes towards travel expenses, which may include transportation, lodging, meals and accommodations while on campus.
Eligibility
• High School Junior or Senior. Preference is given towards admitted seniors; • Demonstrated financial hardship; • Students who are first in their families to pursue a four-year college education or who reside in a highly rural county.
Annual Target and Award Amounts
• $200 - $500 average award amount. • Award amount contributes towards travel expenses, including partial reimbursement for student’s airfare, overnight accommodations at the Auburn University Hotel and meals while on campus.
