John Vict

John Victor Roberts was born in Bertrand, Nebraksa,

Februray 23, 1917 to parents Victor and Elizabeth Roberts.

When he was 16, the family moved to Julesburg, Colorado.

Then in 1939, John married Anna May Armbruster from Big Springs, Nebraska and in 1944, the couple moved to a farm in Crook, Colorado and raised five children.

John grew alfafa — his CB handle being “Alfalfa John”,

and Anna’s “Little Orphan Annie”. They were married for over 72 years. Later retiring in Brush, Colorado, living in their own home until Anna’s passing on May 30, 2011.

John then moved to assisted living in Ft. Morgan to live until his passing on April 12, 2013.

John was active in his church, a member of Men’s Fellowship, and a member of the Rankin Presbysterian Church.

He was always there for his friends, taking them to

church, appointments, or to have coffee and play pool at the Senior Center.

Some of John and Anna’s most memorable times were

traveling in their fifth wheeler with their snowbird friends, Ruth and Lyle Ring, their life-long friends.

John was anxious to go home to be with Anna, his family

and friends who had passed on, and his Lord and Savior. Survivors are Leonard Roberts of Holyoke, Colorado,

Jim and Judy Roberts of Crook, Colorado, Dennis and Linda Roberts of Longmont, Colorado, Sheree Amen of Woodland Park, Colorado, John Jr. and Shirley Roberts of Ulysses, Kansas, and Vern and Margie Roberts of Ft. Morgan,

Colorado, 18 grand children, and 34 great-grand children.
