Chapter 1: Steps to Adopting Dog

#1:First you have to make a choice,you can go and drive to a breeder and see if there is any dogs you like or you can go online look up breeders and see if there are any dogs you like. #2: Once you have seen about 3 or 4 dogs that you like you are going to have to make a final decision of picking which dog you are going to adopt. #3: Talk to the breeder or call the breeder to let the breeder know which puppy you are going to adopt. #4: Take the puppy home


Chapter 2: Getting ready Of course before you adopt a dog or a puppy you have to get ready. Here is a list of things you will need to buy so that you are ready to adopt a dog. ● Food. ● Toys. ● A Leash. ● A Collar ● Bowls If you buy all these things,you'll be ready to take to take your new dog home for sure!!!!!


Chapter 3: Taking Care of Dog

FEEDING IT If it is a puppy you will have to feed it three times a day. But if it a grown dog you only have to feed it twice a day. also you have to have to fill its water bowl each day. TOYS if you get a tiny chiwawa you might want to get little toys he can carry and play with !!! but if you get a bigger dog like a golden retriever you might want to get bigger toys that he can’t swallow because that could lead to some problems in the dog's intestine and that would probably lead to a operation​ !!!!


Chapter 4: Training a Dog When you train a dog you have to have treats. If your dog does something good like if you said “Sit” and your dog sat give your dog a treat. Another important thing to train your dog to do other than tricks is to not do their ​ “business” ​ inside the house!!!!


Chapter There are lots and lots of tricks you can teach your dogs. Here are a couple of simple tricks you can teach your dog. ● Sit ● Down ­ lay down ● Shake ­ lift paw up ● Touch ­ to touch its snout to your hand ● Stay ­ stay in one place

Chapter 6: So Many Breeds Working Dogs You may have hear of working dogs but still wonder what is a working dog. Well a working dog works for people. Here are some examples of “jobs” for dogs: ● Guard dog ● Seeing eye dog ● Police dog ● Seizure dog Mixed Breeds You may wonder what is a mixed breed. Well, a mixed breed is when you have two different kinds of breeds and they have babies together. For example, if a labrador and a poodle were to have babies, together the babies would be labradoodles.
