When you go bike riding you should wear long pants and a long shirt if it is cold out and if it is warm you should wear shorts or capris Helmet

The helmet is the most important safety gear to wear. Make sure it is not too tight and not to lose.It should not be too big or too small ,it sould start at the top of your forheed and end right under your ears.

Shoes

When you go bike riding you should wear sneakers because they keep your feet warm and they are comfortable and if they do not have laces because you can tie it and make it as tight as you want.

Gear You should always wear knee pads, elbow pads and hand pads. It will keep your elbows and knees from getting hurt and the hand pads will protect your hands from getting blissters . How To Put Them On

You should put on your clothes first, then your sweatshirt or coat. Then put on your knee pads, elbow pads, then your hand pads. Then put your shoes on and then your helmet, and you're ready to go!

CHAPTER 2: WHAT TO BRING You should make sure you have anything you need. Water

You should bring water to keep yourself hydrated and you should bring cold water and make sure you put a ice pack to keep it cold.

Food

When you go bike riding you should bring sandwiches so kind carbs like crackers , pretzels or chips. Some granola bars ,some fruit, or yogurt.

First Aid Kit

You should always bring a first aid kit because you never know what will happen like someone can fall off a bike and hurt themselves or someone can scratch themselves on the wheel Sweatshirts

You should bring some extra sweatshirts to keep you warm because you never know what's going to happen.( like a hurricane hit your city or a tornado can) How to Pack it up First you put the sweatshirt on the bottom then you put the first aid kit on top of it then you put the food and the water and you are all ready to go :)

CHAPTER 3: HOW TO PUT THE BIKE ON THE CAR When you go bike riding you put a bike rack on your car so you don’t have to put it in the car. First you get the top straps. There are two top ones and two bottom. And open the trunk. Put the hooks on the rack at the top and do it to the bottom to. Putting the Bike On

When you put the bike on you put it carefully on the rake. They you get the little elastic and tie the wheels on and then you are done. Making Sure it’s Secure Making sure it’s secure is easy. Just wiggle it and if it does not fall it is good.

Chapter 4: How to be Safe When you get close to the street you should slow down because if you are going fast and trying to brake you might not, and then you might go into the street and get hit by a car or you could be at a crosswalk and hit another biker. Stop? When you get to a crosswalk or to a group of bikers you should stop! You could get hurt Look and Listen After you stop you should look for anything in front of you and listen for anything coming. Crossing the Street When you made sure nothing is coming you should cross and this is how you do it. Get off your bike and hold on to the seat and the handle. Then you walk across. Go! After you cross you get back on your bike and go.

Chapter 5: How to Shift Gears What? What is a gear? you wonder in your head. A gear is something on your bike that helps you ride. Some bikes do not have a gear but if you have one this is how you do it. How? When you have a gear you wonder how do you use it. It is easy. Just put you hand on it and move your wrist. After you move your wrist you will hear a click and you will wadle for a second. Why? You have to shift the gears because if you don’t you might get tired because it might be too hard or you will not be able to stop and you will hurt yourself. One, Two, Three, Four, Five, Six One is very easy to pedal. Two is still easy to pedal. Three is a little harder to pedal. Four is still a little hard. Five is more hard. Six is really hard. You should switch the gears to one when you are going up a hill and you should put it on five when yo ua re going down a hill.
