The Eliminate Project" The Eliminate Project was started by Kiwanis and UNICEF to eliminate neonatal and maternal tetanus internationally. Over 60,000 babies and a large number of women suffer from this disease every year; and in order to eliminate this, a great deal of money needs to be raised for immunizations. This money will go towards vaccines, syringes, safe storage, and transportation. This will take thousands of skilled staff and a little over 110 million dollars to complete. This semester, Edgewood College’s Circle K worked a number of different fundraisers and service activities to raise money for the Eliminate Project, including trickor-treating in the local neighborhoods for UNICEF, as well as selling Threads of Hope bracelets around campus. So far, Edgewood has raised $80.00 for the cause!

This past October, Edgewood College and members of the Wisconsin-Upper Michigan District enjoyed time in the Dells at the fall trainer event, MAC. There were workshops, officer training, and plenty of fun! Our district bul letin editor even got pied in the face! "

Adventures at Aktion Club!" Over the course of the semester, Edgewood Circle K paid a few visits to its much beloved Aktion Club. Aktion Club gives Edgewood students a chance to work with adults with disabilities.

In October, the Edgewood students helped Aktion Club members make beautiful flowers from tissue paper and pipecleaners, which later served as centerpieces for the Kiwanis Pancake breakfast! " In November the members got to make festive paper turkeys, and get in the Thanksgiving Spirit! Everyone was proud of their colorful creations and enjoyed the time shared together. "
