District Convention (DCON) Going to DCON is such an amazing experience. It gives you a chance to meet other people from the state that share the same passion for serving. Not only do you get to interact with others that share a passion of yours, but you meet other people that hold other leadership positions and learn tips and tricks about how to do your job to the best of your ability. ~Megan Kneiser, 2014-2015 Club Secretary This past month, Edgewood College Circle K board members attended the 52nd annual District Convention in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. Each year, Edgewood joins with different colleges from around Wisconsin and the Upper-Michigan district for a weekend to celebrate, reflect, and receive recognition for their dedication to Circle K. This year at District Convention, Edgewood Circle K represented the College well, bringing home three awards for its hard work.
The Circle K District Convention gave attending Circler K'ers the opportunity to socialize and meet members from all over the district! Board elected members for the next Circle K year attended workshops to learn about their new positions. They also attended service events like Project Linus. My group even made door decorations for the elderly folks at a nursing home! Even though there wasn't a lot of sleeping involved, it was a great opportunity to learn and have some fun. ~Sam Contreras, 2015-2016 Club Secretary
We were very pleased to be honored with the award for Outstanding Club Webpage, special thanks to Travis Ibinger, Public Relations Chair. The Outstanding District Bulletin Editor award went to Edgewood’s own Marissa Blackmore for her tireless and much appreciated work on the District Board. We were also very proud to hear that this year’s Alan Anderson Scholarship was awarded to our Club President, Amanda Gallo. Congratulations and thank you to these people for the immense amount of time and energy they have put into making Edgewood Circle K the best that it can be. 2

The American Red Cross! Founded in 1881, The American Red Cross is a humanitarian organization that provides services to people across the United States, including disaster relief, emergency assistance, and education. The Red Cross also provides almost 70% of the donated blood supplied around the nation annually. Every time someone donates blood, they are able to save three lives, and blood donations help millions of patients in need each year. This year, Edgewood Circle K partnered with The American Red Cross to host two blood drives at the college. At the first drive in January, over 40 Edgewood students came to donate blood. At the second drive, we had approximately 50 donors! Great job Edgewood!
March of Dimes Walk - May 9th Along with having these great service opportunities lined up for the upcoming year, Edgewood Circle K is also extremely excited to welcome new members to its executive board!
