Edgewood College Welcome to Circle K!

A Little About Circle K International ★ Circle K International, or CKI, founded in 1934, is an international collegiate service organization sponsored by Kiwanis International. ★ CKI has over 13,000 members, and it gives college students (like you!) a unique opportunity to participate in service projects in their area and internationally. ★ CKI is broken down into districts. Edgewood College Circle K was founded in 2009 and is part of the Wisconsin-Upper Michigan District.
Why Should I Become a Circle K Member? “Circle K is an opportunity to create connections with people who share the same values and cherish service to others.”

Q and A with our Club President! Q: Why did you choose to become Club President?
!
Mandy: “After my first few Circle K meetings, I knew it was the place for me. It was not before long that I took a leadership role my freshman year as Public Relations Co-Chair. When elections for the next Circle K year became closer, the encouragement from my fellow Circle K members as well as a desire for a higher leadership position within the club is what drove me to run for Club President. This is my second year as Circle K Club President and I could not be more honored to lead such a wonderful group of people!”
Mandy Gallo, Club President
Meet the rest of our Executive Board! Megan Kneiser, Vice President
! !
Q: What are you most looking forward to for the upcoming year? Mandy: “Everything! I am excited to see our members’ smiling faces, both old and new! I can't wait to start our services projects and fund raise for The Eliminate Project. Lastly, I'm super excited for our weekly meetings and all of the memories we are going to make together.”
Sam Contreras, Secretary
! Hanna Johnson, Treasurer
! Megan Meffert, Service Chair
! Q: What is one thing you would like new members to know?
Maggie Williams, Fundraising Chair
!
Mandy: “Circle K is the best club you could ever possibly join. I mean it. We welcome everyone with open arms and it is never to late to join us. We do not have a required amount of service hours that you have to do each semester, we encourage you to do as much as you can, but we also understand that sometimes life gets in the way of things and that is totally okay too.” Q: Why do you encourage people to join Edgewood Circle K? Mandy: “I have never heard someone say that Circle K was not worth their time. Through this club I have learned how to be more compassionate for others even when I did not think it was possible. I have learned leadership skills that will help me to be a better team player once I'm out in the "real world". I truly have learned to "Live to Serve [and], Love to Serve" with the help of my friends from Circle K.”

Together, we do service and have events at a larger level. These include weekend events at a camp, baseball games, service days, and a District Convention. There are so many opportunities to meet other students and give back to the community! Our Tenants Our tenants are the three values that our organization focuses on, which are service, leadership, and fellowship. Circle K is all about community service and changing the world; however, we also focus on creating future leaders, developing your own potential as individuals, and building relationships.
