www.nmgirlscouts.org Adventure Awaits! Girls learn so much in Girl Scouting…

Girl Scout Grade Levels

…like self-reliance, teamwork, and using creative thinking to solve problems. – big and small. The Girl Scout Leadership Experience defines three leadership keys that are integral to all Girl Scout events and activities. Each of these keys – Discover, Connect, and Take Action – incorporate a set of five outcomes. Achieving these outcomes means that girls are developing leadership skills they will use for the rest of their lives. All events listed in this book have outcome focuses, meaning that not only will girls have fun, they’ll also learn skills that will develop courage, personal integrity and strong values. Girl Scouts of New Mexico Trails (GSNMT) is pleased to present the Winter 2014/2015 Event Guide. This book provides council-wide Girl Scout events and trainings for Winter 2014/2015. This resource will help you plan for upcoming months and register early for exciting events. Knowing the programs you want to attend will also help you make your Cookie Program goals! Throughout the year, new programs may be introduced. Stay up-todate on new events and updates by visiting www.nmgirlscouts.org, and watch for event details via the weekly e-newsletter, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. All events listed in this guide are open and available to register now. Registration forms may be submitted via email, fax, mail, or in person.

Girll Scout Mission

Girl Scout Law

Girl Scouting builds girls of courage, confidence, and character, who make the world a better place.

I will do my best to be honest and fair, friendly and helpful, considerate and caring, courageous and strong, and responsible for what I say and do, and to, respect myself and others, respect authority, use resources wisely, make the world a better place, and be a sister to every Girl Scout.

Girll Scout Promise On my honor, I will try: To serve God* and my country, To help people at all times, And to live by the Girl Scout Law.

* The word “God” can be interpreted in a number of ways, depending on one’s spiritual beliefs. When reciting the Girl Scout Promise, it is okay to replace the word “God” with whatever word your spiritual beliefs dictate.
