untiedEditor’s Note MAKING A FEW ADJUSTMENTS
C
hange is good, but to some individuals change is not that important. In order to live a peaceful life and move to the next level in life you need to make a few changes in your life. It could be in relationships, friendships, work related, habits or whatever you find to be destructive or hinders you to move forward. This change doesn’t just come automatically, it needs you to set up your mind and then things will be able to change. Setting your mind set from negative thinking to positive. Reshuffling your friend list or the company you keep. Your commitment to this change will help you to not lead yourself into destruction. We have seen change in our South African Education and I believe that there is change that is yet to come. This change came when the youth of 1976 decided that it is more than enough for them, to be taught in Afrikaans that they do not know. Ever since then we have been able to learn and communicate our own languages in class rooms because the youth from previous years fought for change. How I wish today’s youth can learn a thing or two from the 1976 youth, just to try and practice things the way they did things. They knew what they wanted and they focused on building their lives and careers. That is not the case with today’s youth they don’t want to be independent they want to be spoon fed, which is totally wrong. No wonder there are young they stand in corners waiting for their next victim to come. They focus more on hurting people and robbing them of things they worked hard for. Is that what the youth of today stand for? Violence? If that is the case then there is no future for them at all and they are making a bad name for the name “Youth”, for there is a saying that goes “ isizwe sifa ngomntu omnye ”, which means a country dies because of one person. Today’s youth needs to change and they need to start to change now. On this month’s issue: self development is the best thing that you could ever do for yourself, more than replacing your friends and routines. Read more info on Introvert.com’s column. It is very easy for us to become negative towards ourselves, to look down on ourselves but it is time for some kind of adjustments to take place. Life is too short, let’s rather live it to the fullest. I am not all for the saying that says “you only live once”, but letting it all out won’t hurt. Stop blaming yourself for your mistakes, forgive yourself for things that are not going the right way in your life. Don’t worry yourself about fitting I, find ways that will help you standing out. We have Phumza Gwaza on the cover a fashion designer from Cape Town. Thangolwethu Soyaya tells us about his story. We have food, fashion, good laughs, spiritual nourishment and a little bit of everything you will need. Enjoy!

e is a husband and a father to Masixole Vuyolwethu and
Sangolwethu. He believes that his live is a motivation on its own and nothing else. He was born in New Brighton but because of the loss of people in his life he lived in many different places. Though his life was rough today Thangolwethu Soyaya Human is living to fulfil his God given purpose here on earth. He is a motivational speaker, a music composer and a writer. Most of his written pieces are a motivation and caution. Untied took time and located this talented individual, here is his story Who is Thangolwethu Soyaya is he from? I am Thangolwethu Human Soyaya, I have two surnames, the other one is my mothers and the other one is my father’s surname. My father denied me before I was even born. I was born in 1971, 10 February in New Brighton. My mother was 16 years old when she got me and my father was a married man. I was raised by my grandparents but when I was 4 my grandmother died, my grandfather passed on when I was 7 years old.
9
My aunt chased me away and I had to go live on the streets in Grahamstown road, I was 11 years then. I lived on the streets from when I was 11 -16 years old till I was adopted by a family from Ncanarha, the Madyibhi family. And I then started school there until standard 1. I lived with them till I became a man. Did you and your mother find your way to meet or mend your relationship? My mother came back in 2007 from Cape Town, she was very ill when she returned. I was later informed that my mother is here in PE and very ill. Unfortunately that time the nurses and doctors were on strike at the hospital. So when I took her to hospital she didn't receive any help so she died. So those are the only days you remember about her? Yes the last 3 days she spent when she came back in PE are the only time I spent with her. How was being raised by granny and grand pa like? I don't remember anything, because my grand pa died when I was very young. I don't even have a picture of how they look like. When you were living with your aunt are there events that you are able to recall? I have a bump from one of her beatings here on my forehead. She used a chamber to beat me the other day, she found me in the toilet after she chased me away and I refused to go because I had nowhere to go. That is what I remember about living with my aunt.
When you were still living with grandfather did you go to school? No I did not. During my toddler life when it was time to go to school we would be asked to measure our arms to be registered. Measure if the right arm can reach the left ear. So I was very short and I couldn’t . The only time I went to school was when Mrs Madyibhi adopted me. How was the life living with your newly adopted family? I was in satan's den. I was a 16 year old boy who didn't know anything about raising kids but when I got there I was told I was going to change nappies. That is the hardest job ever because you don't even sleep at night. At 4am I had to wake up and go fetch milk at a place where farm residents collected their milk from. I had to walk plus minus 5 kilometres every day, barefoot both winter and summer. It was so embarrassing because the lady I was adopted by was a lady teacher. She used to shout at me and called me names in front of other kids at school. I had only two blankets and slept on the floor. It was up to me if I cover myself with both or I use another one as a mattress. But today I am grateful to that woman because I wasn't going to be someone who have a capacity to volunteer for 18 years if I didn't start in that environment. After the years I spent in that family I left and I joined moral regeneration, Kamva youth development, I also volunteered at Nobulali a home for orphans, I also worked with retired nurses who were helping disabled children. Then I worked at Doxa, I have plus minus 7 years now working there. I motivated on air at KQ, but I grew from there and motivated at Umhlobo Wenene 7 times also in Zibonele fm a radio station in Cape Town. I also travelled to DR to a place called Nonzwakazi where there was a lot of crime. I Visited prisons, I volunteer for 3 years in prison. I was doing all these places as an individual.
Thangolwethu Soyaya Human Do you remember what your first topic was? Yes I do remember. It was ‘how to choose a friend’. 5. Didn't you feel nervous when on your first talk? I was very nervous, because even my attire wasn't up to standard. At that time I was very poor so I couldn't afford to buy nice clothes. But I had passion for what I was doing. In other schools they used to laugh at me just because of the way I was dressed. But after my talk they would change their mind about me. I had low self-esteem and inferiority complex because of my background. When the time passed I told myself that I have to be motivated in order for me to be able to motivate others. After my first talk a boy from the school I talk at asked me when I am coming back. So that is when I knew that people were listening.
10
untied On your first motivational talk, did you research your topic? No it was something that was within me. I woke up one day in 1998, I couldn't sleep. There was something in me that said I should write how a person should be. It was 20 commandments of a person. But I didn't know that those were to be my topics. So God the creator gave me a task and equipped me for it. Do you think that your background has an influence in your work today? From birth till now, my life was a motivation. I was a motivational speaker before I was even born. I was created to be. There is nothing that I could say pushes me or motivates me. I was denied by my father, I was born before my due time, I was named after 3 months, everything about me is different in a way. Can you please tell us more about your poems? The titles and all. Ubumi bukatsotshi, Ubomi bentimbi engazikwaziyo, Umona, Inkohlakalo, Indoda enochuku, Umholo, Enkosi, Ndivile, isigqibo ndisithathile, . Can you please share a line or two from your poems? I have a poem that I love so much “Ubomi bukatsotsi” " Bubusaqhwithi ukuvunguvunguza ulonwabo lwabantu, buzele umona inkohlakalo kwa nokungazingci, ukuthemba utshotshi kufana nqwa nokuzitshisa eluzwaneni ngelahla elishushu, ngumntu ngokwenkangeleko kodwaubomi abuphilayo bobesilwanyana," that is the poem tittled Ubomi bukatsotsi.

“From birth till now, my life was a motivation. I was a motivational speaker before I was even born.”
As a writer, is there a chance that you will one day write a book about your life? Yes but not now. For now I am just collecting all my work together compiling everything. I am collecting everything from Trophies and medals, videos etc. Some of the competitions I have entered include Shell road to fame. I was singing and I won the second position Andile Bebula was number won first position. What is it that people don't know about you that you would like them to know? I am a caring person, I have a sensitive heart, I cry watching TV and I am scared of rats. How can you advise a young person? They must use the strength they have now because once the strength is gone you won't be able to turn back the clock. They have a lot to think about now especially when you don't have kids. Use the resources you have now because it is easy to suffer at a young age than when you are old with responsibilities.

Youth day as it is popularly known, is a day in which South Africans honour youth that was ambushed by the apartheid regime police in Soweto on 16 June 1976. on the day 500 youths were killed Question for today’s youth: what is it that youth could learn from 1976 youth?
Vuyiseka They can learn to be independent, they can learn respect. The youth today is only busy with social networks and is influenced by the outside world. They can learn a lot from the 1976

We could learn respect and the 1976 youth fought for their rights in acceptable manner. An elder then could rebuke a child even if its not his or her biological child
We could learn respect, because the youth then resected the elders

Self development
4 Fundamental benefits of personal development Personal development is an often used but rarely explained term. It is about investing in yourself so that you can manage yourself effectively regardless of what life might bring your way. Personal development allows you to be proactive. Rather than wait for good things to happen, you get out there and make them happen. You may not always achieve your objective, but you will experience a richer and more rewarding life when you commit to pursuing your own objectives. Making that commitment to personal development is the first step on the path to personal fulfilment. • Self-awareness Personal development begins with selfawareness. You get to know who you really are; your values, beliefs and the purpose you wish to pursue. True fulfilment can never come from chasing other people’s dreams. If you want to achieve lasting happiness, you need to design your life based on who you are. Then you can chase your own goals and objectives. When you are chasing your own goals, there is as much pleasure to be derived from the journey as there is to be derived from reaching your destination. Selfawareness is the first fundamental step in the personal development process. • A sense of direction Once you have raised you self-awareness, you are clearer on the things you wish to achieve from life. Decision-making becomes a lot easier. Tasks which used to take a great deal of your time, no longer make it onto your to-do list. You now realise that they do not move you towards your objectives and therefore are not worthy of your time. • Improved focus and effectiveness With personal development comes clarity. Even with an improved sense of direction, there will always be multiple tasks looking for your attention. As your personal development improves, prioritisation becomes much easier. You are clearer on your objectives and you can quickly identify which task will give you the best
result with the resources available to you at that moment. Improved focus and effectiveness comes with knowing and playing to your strengths. • More motivation When you know what you want to achieve, it is easier for you to see the benefits of taking action. Even when the task ahead is not enjoyable; if you can see a clear benefit, you are more motivated to take the necessary action. There is truth in the old adage ‘Where there is a will there is a way’. With strong personal development, you develop the necessary will. Personal development requires the . setting of effective goals which inspire and motivate. Learn more with the Ultimate Guide to Goal Setting. Personal development is a much used and much maligned term. It is about taking the time and, making the commitment, to invest in your greatest resource – you. When you put the effort in to developing yourself, the rewards are amazing. Many people are put off personal development because the results are not always measurable. However, the greatest achievers in life know that the key to success is the ability to manage yourself in a variety of situations. That ability comes through personal development

WHY DESIGNER CLOTHES ARE SO EXPENSIVE? Insight WHAT'S IN THE NAME?
Ever wonder what could make a regular cotton blend tee-shirt to cost more than two months’ rent? Me too. And most of the time it turns out that even the people selling the EXPENSIVE goods have no idea why they cost as much as they do. I was curious as to why a pair of Jimmy Choo slip on sneakers were selling on over a thousand rands. At first glance their sneaker don't look that much different from your regular Vans sneakers.
The material may be a bit higher end-leather and studs than a canvas pair of Vans, but the sole and basic shape is the same. Jimmy Choo is a high end designer that's obvious and not particularly helping the person who doesn't understand what's in the name. So I researched. It’s not always the end product that's going to cost you your 1st born, it’s the research and development that goes into the end product, similarly how much research and development goes into manufacturing a pair of shoes for which the shape and style already been invented?. Do you really need to pay more than a thousand rands for someone to reinvent the wheel-alvery stylish metal studs covered wheel? Well probably not, but perhaps there is an explanation for it.
Let’s consider the right costs of producing luxury product and gross margins for luxury companies. There are many steps along the way that contribute to the final price, cost of raw materials, manufacturing and fulfilment. At the retail there is cost of prime real estate and sales stuff and finally there's marketing, those glossy fashion adverts cost a pretty penny to produce, let alone to place. In many cases designers up the price on their products simply to gain an added sheen of prestige and exclusivity. So the short answer to why designers charge so frigid much for their products? It’s "Because they can". Wealthy people express their wealth by spending as much as they can on high end items. For them it's the price tag as much as the products it's self that makes an item remarkable. The price tag and the inverse effect of imbuing the purchaser with power. The price of high end goods just keeps escalating and why not....in the eyes of the designer there seem to be no shortage of consumers who believe they can buy personal power through what they wear. They want items that are in short supply or made in limited runs and they are prepared to pay top dollar to make that happen. The more expensive something is the more exclusive and therefore, desirable it becomes. Most of the time designers would raise the prices to increase appeal to the upper end its customer base and attract new wealthier customers, so next time you get bummed that you can't afford something remember it’s not you its them.
24
IS THE DESIGNER CLOTHING ACTUALLY WORTH IT? As for me the majority of my wardrobe is not designer clothing ,but I do own few pieces, and do I really feel a difference in wearing said designers over something that is a fraction of the price at retail that is? "answer is YES". I can honestly say that I do, but it doesn't apply to everything, only the major pieces that require proper tailoring or craftsmanship such as shoes and coats. There are pieces that I could like from designers such as Louis Vuitton and Gucci, but the overall look not my style in those designers. I loathe that ubiquitous brown print with symbols or that flash of the tri-colour red, green and white although they are well made.
WHAT IS THE REAL DIFFERENCE OTHER THAN THE PRICE TAG I would say The materials are generally better. The clothing tends to feel better. They generally last longer. DESIGNER OR NOT.....
I do think that the Burberry check is hideous as well, but I certainly can feel the quality in their clothing for trench coats. They make the impeccable tailored and fitted coat, and lowerend retail stores simply don't have the time, money or resources to produce such a coat so they stick to their lower price points.
25
Ignore the label or who made it, and focus on these three things before you damage your bank account. - The material- is it made of cheap polyester and acrylic or its cashmere and silk. - The craftsmanship- where is it made, is it tailored well, and will it last beyond few washes. - The style aesthetic of the piece- can I wear it until I am 70? Then after I can look at the price. So if the price tag says few thousands for a coat, and I have researched and exhausted all other avenues of finding a similar trench coat without brand name but equal quality and craftsmanship, I am more inclined to bite the bullet and just buy it.

How to clean your debts
S
pending money and wasting it are too different things. You can spend and save but you can’t waste and save! So you have been stressed out and lately trying to figure out what went wrong with your bank balance. Having flashbacks and browsing through your last shopping trip, you wonder. How could I have spent so much on so many unneeded items? How will you be able to pay off your outspent credit cards? Maybe it was a big, unexpected expense. Maybe it’s sneaked up so steadily, you didn’t realize it. But no matter how it happens, most of folks find themselves in debt at some point. It might be just enough to make you uncomfortable, or perhaps it has become a devastating, sleep-stealing weight you know you can’t handle anymore. There are basic ways to dig out of debt, be it a small or big amount. You need to look at your debt and your income honestly and figure out which option is best for you. You can sit down with pencil, paper and calculator and build a realistic budget that lets you pay off your bills on a consistent and effective basis, pay for your basic needs and if you stick to it opiating down your total debt. To do this, you stop making any payments. The late fees, interest and penalties will continue to build. But you will put money aside in a savings account.
If you can brave the process, you might get to pay off your debt and be rid of the burden for far less than you owe. But keep in mind a few things: It Won’t save your credit, creditors don’t always accept the lower offer, and there could be tax consequences. Bankruptcy: It may be the last option, but it’s probably not the end of the world. The key to deciding if bankruptcy is the right option is to consult a liquidation attorney and to know what kinds of debt are, and are not, discharged through bankruptcy. You also need to weigh the long-term future consequences.
Let’s show you how to get started digging out of debt.
Right down all your debts and all your monthly expenses. That way you will be able to know what you are up against. Pinpoint important expenses and live out the unnecessary ones. You may have Contact every company you owe and try to come up with a payment settlement. Negotiate with them, by all means they will be able to see how committed in clearing out your name. Check out your activity schedule in terms of outings and all. You might never know, going out for coffee might be one of the unnecessary expenses. So rather invite your friends for coffee and bake your own muffins. Or try other ways to have fun. Ask for professional help. Maybe that is what you need, after all if you do not have any clue about the finance industry then this you should consider it. It may be an expense on its own but it will be worth it at the long run.

IN THE KITCHEN:
Everyone loves a good lasagna, right? It’s a great way to feed a crowd and a perfect dish to bring to a potluck. It freezes well. It reheats well. Leftovers will keep you happy for days. Here is a recipe for lasagne, this will easily serve 8 people.
Lasagna Recipe Prep time: 15 minutesCook time: 1 hour, 30 minutesYield: Serves 8 INGREDIENTS Sauce: Olive oil 1 pound lean ground beef (chuck) 1/2 onion, diced, about 3/4 cup 1/2 large bell pepper (green, red, or yellow), stem and core removed, diced, about 3/4 cup 2 cloves garlic, minced 1 28-ounce can good quality tomato sauce 3 ounces (half a 6-oz can) tomato paste 1 14-ounce can crushed tomatoes 2 Tbsp chopped fresh oregano or 2 teaspoons dried oregano 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley (preferably flat leaf), packed 1 Tbsp Italian Seasoning Pinch of garlic powder and/or garlic salt 1 Tbsp red or white wine vinegar 1 Tbsp to 1/4 cup sugar (to taste, optional) Salt Lasagna: 1/2 lb dry lasagna noodles (requires 9 lasagna noodles - unbroken) 15 ounces Ricotta cheese 1 1/2 lb (24 ounces) Mozzarella cheese, grated or sliced 1/4 lb (4 ounces) freshly grated Parmesan cheese Cooking Utensils You'll Need: A large skillet to brown the beef, bell pepper, and onion A large pot (8 to 12-quarts) for cooking the pasta A medium sized pot (3 to 4 quarts) to simmer the sauce 13" x 9" x 2" lasagna pan, preferably pyrex or stainless steel (avoid aluminum pans if you can, they can react with the acidity of the sauce) A large colander to drain the noodles A couple large sheet pans to cool the noodles A large slotted cooking spoon A large wooden cooking spoon A chef's knife or large paring knife to cut the vegetables
27
METHOD 1 Put pasta water on to boil: Put a large pot of salted water (1 Tbsp salt for every 2 quarts of water) on the stovetop on high heat. It can take a while for a large pot of water to come to a boil (this will be your pasta water), so prepare the sauce in the next steps while the water is heating. 2 Brown the ground beef: In a large skillet heat 2 teaspoons of olive oil on medium high heat. Add the ground beef and cook it until it is lightly browned on all sides. 4 Transfer to medium sized pot, add tomatoes and remaining sauce ingredients to build the sauce: Transfer the beef pepper onion mixture to a medium sized (3 to 4 quart) pot. Add the crushed tomatoes, tomato sauce, and tomato paste to the pot. Add the parsley, oregano, and Italian seasonings, adjusting the amounts to taste. Sprinkle with garlic powder and/or garlic salt, to taste. Sprinkle with red or white wine vinegar. Stir in sugar, a tablespoon at a time, tasting after each addition, to taste. (The amount of sugar needed will vary, depending on how acidic the tomatoes are that you are using.) Add salt to taste, and note that you will later be adding Parmesan, which is salty. 5 Boil and drain the lasagna noodles: By now the salted water you started heating in step one should be boiling. Add the dry lasagna noodles and cook then per package directions (al dente). (Note noodles may be cooked in advance.) Spread a little olive oil on a large rimmed baking sheet, and lay out the cooked noodles on this sheet, turning them over so that they get coated with a little of the olive oil. This will prevent them from sticking together. 6 Assemble the lasagna: In a 13x9x2-inch casserole or lasagna dish, ladle a cup of sauce and spread it over the bottom of the dish. Arrange one layer of lasagna noodles lengthwise (about 3 long noodles, edge may overlap, depending on your pan) over the sauce. Ladle a third of the remaining sauce over the noodles. 7 Bake: Tent the lasagna pan with aluminum foil (not touching noodles or sauce). Bake at 375°F for 45 minutes. Allow to cool before serving.

These “holographic computers,” as they have been called, will have Intel chips, an integrated GPU and possibly a 3D RealSense camera to identify objects, measure distances, and provide new perspectives on surroundings. Storage prices will go up Martyn Williams A computer with an Intel SSD on display at Computex 2015 in Taipei Prices of SSDs are going up due to shortages, and that could have an impact on the price of laptops, 2-in-1 computers and storage. Dell’s XPS 13 with Intel’s Kaby Lake chips and a 512GB SSD, for example, is not available right now. Other laptops with 512GB SSDs are priced unbelievably high. Most PC makers are offering 128GB or 256GB SSDs in PCs by default. Choose storage wisely, as it isn’t easy to screw open a superthin 2-in-1 to replace an SSD.

More changes for keyboards Lenovo Lenovo’s Yoga Book has a virtual keyboard on a touch panel. We saw some interesting changes to keyboards this year: Apple added the Touch Bar, while Lenovo swapped out the hard keyboard for a virtual keyboard on a touch input panel for its Yoga Book. Lenovo wants to bring the virtual keyboard to more Chromebooks and 2-in-1s, partly because of its versatility. The touch input panel can also be used to draw or take notes with a stylus. It’s a toss-up: Lenovo believes that those used to typing on mobile devices will adapt to this touch panel keyboard quickly, while hard keyboard diehards will dismiss the idea. Some ports won’t go away easily USB Type-C cable on show at CES PC makers may not muster up the courage to remove the headphone jack and SD card slots from PCs right away, but USB 2.0 slots could be on their way out. Some PC makers may leave out display and other legacy ports with the emergence of the versatile USB Type-C, which can be used to charge PCs and connect displays, storage devices and other peripherals.

confronted me last night when I was talking to one of my girls. I want to talk about #CONSCIOUSNESS. The dictionary definition of consciousness is: Consciousness is the state or quality of awareness, or, of being aware of an external object or something within oneself. It has been defined as: sentience, awareness, subjectivity, the ability to experience or to feel, wakefulness, having a sense of selfhood, and the executive control system of the mind. I believe most of us are not really conscious of what is happening daily in our lives. We are mostly sleepwalking through our lives. Consciousness is about:, *Being aware and awake in own life. *it is about being an active participant in your life * it is about taking prompt decisions and not let situations control you and force you to decide. *. its being proactive *its being farsighted * its about being in control of whatever you are doing whether wrong or right, but you decide to do it or not and not to not know how, why, and when. *1 Peter 5:8 defines it perfectly, it says " be alert and sober minded" (NIV), that means you cant be too drunk that the drinking makes you make decisions unconsciously, actually you should be in control and be conscious of how much you drink in the first place, or rather be sober as the word says so you can be alert. (KJV) says "be sober, be vigilant" someone who is vigilant is never taken by surprise, he is always on the lookout, that verse continues to say for the enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion.( ARAMIC BIBLE) says " be alert and be reflective", something reflective has a bounce back effective, sending whatever negative or good back to sender.
By: Prophet Khonziwe Tukwayo
Also being reflective is to be conscious of where you went wrong or right in the past and knowing what to fix or improve THEREFORE: if you not conscious it means you are. UNCONSCIOUS which is not good at all. The dictionary says : you lacking awareness and sensory perception. UNCONSCIOUS PEOPLE ARE: *not decision makers * walk into things because they lack sensory perception * wake up in peoples beds and don't know how they got there. * wake up with empty wallets and don't know who or how they spent their money. *they are taken everywhere and anywhere by anybody. * they get dressed and don' t make decisions about what outfit or how it fits them. *decisions are based on popular beliefs. ONCE MORE THE BIBLE SAYS : "I have not given you a spirit of timid, but a spirit of boldness and A SOUND MIND" #BE AN ACTIVE PARTICIPANT IN YOUR OWN LIFE
