Lieutenant Governor’s Message Aloha Aqua Apes, Happy December and happy holidays aqua apes! I hope you all made it through the extremely stressful fall and are now ready to tackle your winter finals. In Key Club, tis the season of giving, dues, and District Convention preparation. I highly encourage you all to take advantage of the bountiful service hour opportunities during the holiday season. There are also many small scale and easy projects you can put together such as holiday card making. Remember if you ever need ideas for service projects to contact myself or any of the 14 clubs in Division 34 North. Dues are extremely important and you are not considered a member of Key Club International or Cal-Nev-Ha District until your donation of dues is received. It is your home club board and adviser’s responsibilities to ensure collecting and recording of dues is done in a timely and correct manner. Remember, dues only go back to yourself in the form of scholarships, discounts, and insurance! District Convention is quickly approaching with registration opening this month. The sooner you prepare and plan the logistics, the better. Remember, fundraising never stops and do not be shy to reach out to your family, sponsoring Kiwanis, or local businesses to sponsor your trip. Convention is full of celebration, fun seminars, and interaction between all 40,000 members in our district. It is time to end 2015 well and in the spirit of giving while starting 2016 off with a bang. I wish you all well and good luck for finals. Remember to always take some time off for yourself to destress and enjoy family and friends during the holidays. As always, please let me know if you have any questions, comments, or concerns. Stay safe, happy, and apetastic!

Ape-tastic Events Monte Verde Halloween Carnival South City Key Club volunteered at the Monte Verde Halloween Carnival and it was really cute! I helped with a game for elementary children to play and they were super excited about winning candy! It was especially nostalgic for me because I use to be one of the children playing at the carnival so it feels great knowing that I was able to give back to my community through service! Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF Carlmont Key Club members Belinda Yu and Laura Wong raised funds forTrick-Or-Treat for Unicef! They raised about $20 and helped spread knowledge about MNT to many of the residents. Volume 3 Issue 6,3,Page Volume 3 Issue Page 44

Belmont Iceland Fundraiser While not the biggest event of the month, the ice skating fundraiser was a lot of fun! I hadn't skated in years, so it took me awhile to get used to it, but I was really proud of how many people from our division showed up and had fun. I was also really excited to see some new members show up at this event! Best of all, we raised $100 for Pediatric Trauma Program so...good job team! Kelvin Yang

Belmont Iceland Fundraiser The PTP Iceskating fundraiser was super chill! Get it? Hehe. I had an awesome time seeing our division bond through watching each other fall on the ice and freeze our heads off! It is also always an amazing feeling to know that you have supported an amazing program while having fun! Crystal Wong South San Francisco Crystal Wong South San Francisco

Fall Rally North This was my 3rd Fall Rally North and it was amazing as usual! I screamed my heart out cheering for our amazing LTG and got to spend some quality time with my fellow Key Clubbers! Although the line to wait for one ride was like 2 hours long, it didn't seem as bad because in those two hours, I was able to meet new Key Clubbers waiting in line with me! As always, I enjoyed seeing a bunch of division decked out in their spirit gear and bursting out with spirit! Crystal Wong South San Francisco

Fall Rally North Fall Rally North is one of my favorite and most inspiring events to attend!! It's amazing to see tons of other key clubbers wherever you go, decked out in spirit attire, screaming their hearts out til they lose their voices, supporting each other, meeting new people, making new friends, randomly giving out hugs, endlessly answering the question "HOW DO YOU FEEL?!", and making wonderful memories!! FRN done, DCON next :) Laura Wong Carlmont
