Aloha Aqua Apes! We are now one month away until the end of the 2013-2014 term! It has been a pleasure, and a honor serving as your Lieutenant Governor. With one month to go, it is time to kick it in to high gear, and reach the goals we all set to accomplish this term! I have the upmost faith that all of you will continue to serve your communities, and help me reach my goals as well. The end of the term also means another thing: Division 34 North Banquet! It will be March 15, and I hope to see familiar apes and some new apes as well. The end of the year also means District Convention, and this year, it is in Sacramento, California! The on-time registration deadline passed, but there is still time to sign up late! It is $218, but trust me, it is with more than the price. Remember Aqua Apes, if you ever need someone to talk to, the Division Leadership Team is always here for you, as friends and as Key Clubbers. We are one big Aqua Ape Ohana, and we always support each other through the good times and the rougher ones. Thank you Division 34 North for all you do! Let’s finish this year strong!

It was my second Other than Key Club, I am involved in cheerleading, Link Crew, and conclave, so I was CSF. Some things about me are that I am the oldest sibling, with two familiar with how the little brothers. I am addicted to Starbucks. I love eating sushi. I dislike spicy food. I am 5’0 ft. I love fruits yet I’m not a big fan of event went. It was great vegetables. I love watching movies on seeing familiar faces from Fall free time. Overall, I am a studentRally North and Candidate athlete who loves service and Training Conferences. Please council meeting, we shared our feel free to message me, biggest accomplishment for the or ask me any further term. By doing this, I felt very questions you have! I rewarded looking back and am looking forward to work and to meet realizing how much I have every single one of you accomplished over the past term. BEEautiful Aqua Apes :) Sharing this reflection has only encouraged me to end this term strong, and I hope others were inspired as well. After our caucus, we were able to play the icebreaker “I Love My Neighbor” where we got to Mary Kim Delemos, know each other more. After RTC, FRN, and Division 34 North CTC, Key Club tends to die down a bit but it felt really Lieutenant Governor good to be in a Key Club atmosphere again. division 34 mr. key club pageant What event has half naked boys strutting across stage to save babies lives? None other than a Mr. Key Club Pageant! For the first time ever in Division 34 history, both Division 34 North and Division 34 South held a Mr. Key Club Pageant together, to raise funds for the Eliminate Project. The pageant consisted of many different categories, starting with the swimsuit portion, and shifting into the dress to impress gear, with games and trivia thrown into the mix as well. Division 34 North enjoyed their very first pageant, and Division 34 South also enjoyed their tradition. It turned out to be a huge success, with over 90 babies and their mothers saved by Key Clubbers all over the peninsula. It just goes to show you that anyone can save a baby and their mother’s life!
For the January DCM, Division 34 North and Division 34 South hosted the Mr. Key Club Pageant! It was the first ever D34N and D34S pageant and I thought it was one of the funnest DCM’s I’ve ever went to. The pageant key clubbers were extremely crazy too. I also learned that some of the 34 penguins and aqua apes are wonderfully talented. Overall, the DCM was a great experience and I hope there will be another joint division pageant with Division 34 South! -Iris Hung, Mills

club UPDATES
On January 25, El Camino Key Club members helped to provide breakfast and bagged lunch to the homeless in South San Francisco. In the course of 3 ½ hours, members prepared eggs, ham, French toast, and sandwiches to approximately 30 people at Salvation Army. It was a good experience for the members and they had a great time serving the community.

South San Francisco has been focusing on fundraisers to reduce the price of DCON for our members. We have planned restaurant takeovers, selling food, movie nights, Kiwanis meeting takeovers, and more! Although we have had some issues, we continue to try fundraising as much as we can. Some things our board has changed are that the requirement of service hours for Freshmen is 30 hours, and upperclassmen 40 hours. Additionally, we are only having our members pay for their registration fees ($178 or $218) and our club funds will be covering transportation and hotel fees. We are hoping to fundraise not only by DCON registration deadline but also after, so we may uphold the promise of covering hotel and transportation for our members. We haven’t had much service projects in the month of January, but we are hoping to bring back our long-term service project: This month George Adopting Westborough Park to give our members the Washington has been working opportunities to earn the required amount of hours in with our youth. A few members have order to attend DCON. Lastly, we are having our been helping out at a local elementary club elections at the end of February, so we can school’s after school program. We have train our elects and prepare them for the new been helping with leadership skills, term. homework and Chinese New Year Parade practice. We have also been continuing to help out at the library and Hidden Garden Steps.
