AQUA APE SERVIC Hometown Days Grant Chen, Carlmont Hometown Days was a really interesting experience. The process wasn’t too complicated. I also had the chance to serve beans, which is not as complex as I thought. The food that was served also tasted delicious. Sometimes, it is also amusing how the person in charge need to follow certain rules in order to let the foods to be served. Overall, I really like this event.

tOUR D Grace Tan, Carlmont On June 8, 8 key clubbers set out to Tour de Cure to serve snacks for the cyclists. It was a successful event. There were a lot of grateful cyclists who loved our oranges, bananas, potatoes, coffee cake, Gatorade, trail mix, and lots more. We also went to visit the beautiful water temple where the event was held. All in all, it was a very fun day full of laughs, fun, and service.

the wine bottles (that would be presented) in the winery. During the event we split up into groups of 2-4 people and helped with tickets, silent bidding and greetings at the front entrance. Towards the end (after all the bids were in and the time up) we collected all the bid sheets and determined the winners and inally we helped clean up. It was fun to get to know more fellow Key clubers along with receiving some thanks and gratitude from the bidders themselves for organizing and helping out with this whole thing.

“A Kiwanis Taste of Summer Wine and Auction Fundraiser was basically an auction with a variety of wine bottles along with cosmetic gifts. Pre-event the entire group helped set up and organize the various items that were going to be bid for later by corresponding the numbers and gifts. And also hunting out

DE cURE Brandon Lee, Carlmont This past weekend Carlmont held an event helping out at the Tour de Cure biking event. It consisted of riders fundraising for the American Diabetes Association and rode distances of 50 or 75 kilometers. The ive volunteers from Carlmont worked at the rest stop at the halfway mark of the 50 kilometer. We gave out refreshments and snacks to the rider while also encouraging the riders to continue on.
