Apartment in Kyoto 09.2018 - 12.2018 KYOTO Design Lab Joint Studio with AAM Kyoto Institute of Technology / Accademia di Archittura in Mendrisio Architect : Prof. Quintus Miller Pair Work : Lino Marcela Site : Kyoto, Japan

The project is about apartment buildings in Kyoto. In Japan, after the country's rapid economic growth, the idea of rationalization is to eliminate local context and traditional elements from architecture. The idea is to use the context of Japanese architecture to give it depth, layers and a relationship to the garden. By placing many volumes on the site, create an alleyway for people to get into and the first floor was opened as a cafe and shop. Small gardens(tsuboniwa) gently divide the rooms, and could see gardens from anywhere. Alternate rectangular columns give layers to the facede. This variety of columns block the view of the neighbors.

The site is located in the center of Kyoto, and the area facing the main street is lined with high-rise buildings. On the other hand, there are many old buildings(machiya)in the back streets.

Surrounding the studium with the shopping arcade 04.2017-07.2017 Diploma work in Shinshu Univ. Architect: Mikiko Terauchi Site:Hyogo.Japan

This plan proposes "a new form of stadium" and "a new form of regional revitalization" by surrounding the stadium with the old shopping arcade. The site is the shopping arcade that will be demolished by redevelopment. However, many of the shops are still in business and the idea of a stadium using these stock. In addition, more than 10,000 spectator attend each game of the professional football league in Japan. By bringing in these spectators to the shopping arcade, I aim to revitalize the areas. By surrounding the stadium with a shopping arcade, the existing shops would serve as restaurants on the concourse and the second and higher floors of the shopping arcade would be used as VIP seats.

Public toilet in forest 05.2020-07.2020 Kumamoto Art Police Proposal Competition Site: Mt Tatsuta, Kumamoto, Japan Pair work:Yuki Kamiya Syoichi Ishikawa (1-1 architects)

Mt. Tatsuta is a nature park located in the suburbs of Kumamoto. In Japan, Public toilets have all the elements crammed into a limited

space.In

order to free the toilet from this scheme, the toilet and the hand-washing space DUH VHSDUDWHG IURP HDFK RWKHU ŕ ‰:KHQ FRQVLGHULQJ WKH UHODWLRQVKLS EHWZHHQ WKH large scale of Mt. Tatsuta and public toilets, we can create a generous public toilet by increasing the distance between the public toilet and the outside of the toilet. The repetition of the wooden structure creates an elliptical space, and it creates an opening for light, wind, and sight lines, guiding people from the outside to the inside.

House in Kyoto 09.2020 - 9.2020 Housing Competition in Kyoto Site : Kyoto, Japan

The project is about family house in Kyoto. Modern dwellings are divided into living rooms, kitchens, bedrooms, etc., and families often meet only for breakfast and dinner. In order to free the house from this scheme, I ferer Japanese traditional‘tanozi-plan’and relationship between the main house and the detached house. The family members can easily recognize each other's presence in the other rooms from any location. By making the bedroom space one size smaller, I designed the living room area to be used for many activities. In addition, I aimed to cut out the landscape by creating a composition that allows a view of the garden from any angle and the depth of the space by overlapping layers.

Library with the riverside 04.2016-06.2016 First Semester Project in Shinshu Univ. Architect : Mikiko Terauchi Site : Nagano, Japan

This project is to design a library and open space in front of Nagano Station. There are many waterways in Nagano, but most of them run under the ground. We

creat an open

space around the waterway by bring it into the site. By making

large scale staircases lower than the ground near the waterway,we suppose that people

will sit on the stairs while looking at the waterway.
