UNITED STATES DISTRICT COURT DISTRICT OF NEW HAMPSHIRE JUDICIAL ASSISTANT 2023-01C

The United States District Court for the District of New Hampshire is accepting applications for a part-time (20 hours per week) Judicial Assistant. The Judicial Assistant is responsible for the day-to-day management of the operations of a judicial chambers (a small-office environment) and provides administrative and secretarial support to a federal judge.

This position requires a self-starter with excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to readily adapt to fast-changing priorities. Accuracy and attention to detail in grammar, spelling, punctuation, and proofreading are a must. A minimum of three years of progressively responsible experience as an executive secretary to a judicial officer, lawyer or other high-level executive dealing with law related matters and strong working knowledge of computer applications is required.

Part-time starting salary is $23,635 - $38,869 depending on qualifications and experience. This position is not immediately eligible for teleworking however a flexible schedule can be negotiated.

ANIMAL CONTROL OFFICER

The Laconia, New Hampshire Police Department seeks applicants for the position of Animal Control Officer. The position serves the City of Laconia, as well as the towns of Gilford and Belmont.

This full-time position includes 28 hours per week conducting animal control duties, with 12 hours per week devoted to parking enforcement in Laconia. The position requires routine work in the enforcement of State statutes, City ordinances, and rules and regulations regarding the care and control of domestic animals. Applicants shall possess a high school diploma or GED, valid New Hampshire driver’s license and be in good physical condition and able to lift up to 50 lbs.
