You-annoy-me-Tube For my little column in this month’s edition I want to vent my frustration at YouTube. Each month I listen to many songs and so find myself skipping through quite a few that I don’t enjoy and every so often I have to sit through adverts.
Now I’m not going to complain about the adverts per se as Google have to make their money but what does annoy me is the lack of variety. A couple of months ago it was constant match.com adverts (maybe YouTube was trying to tell me something?) and now it’s repetitive YouTubers promo videos - in particular Tyler Oakley and Lilly Singh. Besides the fact I’m not really their target audience, any goodwill and chance of subscribing to them I did have has gone after hearing Oakley’s thoughts on improving the day or on alien life or Singh and her dysfunctional video-watching advert-skipping family for the fiftieth time each. YouTube - I don’t mind adverts, but please mix them up!

PEDAL POWER
We meet Jack Moore & Ben Hawthorne who make up JukeJaxon about their single Memory Man JukeJaxon are a new indie-soul duo who we spoke to whilst in the studio working on new material about their upcoming single and lots more. They told us from their studio base that they’re “working on songs, creating the best thing we can do, putting our emotions down into the track” which sounds like the perfect mantra for an artist making music! Their debut single ‘Memory Man’ is an Arctic Monkeys-esque swaggering retro throwback that we can’t get enough of here
in the KBPS office. But we were intrigued on how this song came to fruition.
“The whole concept came about when we were playing about in the studio with a Memory Man pedal. We were jamming with it and playing with the layers it gave, the vintage sound, and loved it. “We were writing a different song at the time but we took it away with us and sort of took it to another level with the lyrical content with the idea of it being about a
person who came to life at a young age, taught us parts of the music that sculpted us to where we are today. It’s cool, because it’s got this minor value to it but if you actually listen to the lyrics it’s got quite an uplifting story. So we took that away and worked in it, and we’ve had some great reactions to it. “[Lyrically] it’s actually about my brother [and] when we were younger and [he was] teaching me how to play guitar at a very young age. He used to reach me “Don’t Think Twice, It’s All Right”, a big Bob Dylan tune, when I was seven. It’s about him; essentially.
Motown, but how that affected the music they make?
“I think we just like the old school classics and the feel, and what the lyrics represented at the time, especially with the indie side of things. How they talk about the real things happening and we love the realness of that. Obviously today is dominated by the charts and stuff and you have lyrical content that doesn’t go that deep into what’s going on. And soul has a lot of feeling; it’s never the same thing twice and we love that kind of approach, so we like to put that kind of thing in to our songs as well, where it’s not just a straight up melody.”
“I think it’s just about being a hell of a lot less manufactured and not having 80,000 writers on a song that write the most simplistic lyrics you’ve ever heard!”
“As many musicians do, you go around in circles with different genres of music and [end up] coming the full circle to what [your] roots are, raw music, and guitars, and that shows through the lyrics.” With the duo in the studio at the time we spoke to them and with ‘Memory Man’ conceived in the studio initially we wondered whether they preferred to write in the studio or before getting in there. “It’s a mixture of both really. Usually in terms of writing we’ll get the bare bones using guitar then write the song around that and work on the production afterwards. That’s the best way to write a song, it encapsulates the emotion if nothing else.
JukeJaxon initially met over the classic sound of older music styles, in particular
KBPS
There is a certain love from the duo about the values of older music and how that impacts on them releasing music in 2016. “I think it’s just about being a hell of a lot less manufactured and not having 80,000 writers on a song that write the most simplistic lyrics you’ve ever heard!
“When we write songs we find it hard to write stuff that isn’t real and when we do we kind of put it on the back burner. Some people might say ‘that’s like a hit record, that’s great’ but we try and bring that realness into pop culture by doing a mash-up. How can you expect to touch on deep emotions on a track when there’s twenty different people writing it? It’s good to have that one person who sets the story.
“We do write with other people [but] when we write for them we let the artist come
The music magazine

in and get involved with what they want to write about, rather than just coming in with our own lyrics. We like to sculpt and take ideas and hopefully the writers we’re working with will want to encapsulate what we’re talking about rather than bringing something random to the table.” With their work with other people mentioned we were keen to know whether they prefer the art of writing or performing. “Personally I [like both]. They both bring different things to the table, that’s the thing. It’s great writing down and expressing how you want to say certain things but then I also think for me personally it’s performing on stage and having that energy. It all comes together when you’re up there on stage; it makes sense.”
JukeJaxon have also recently reached out to perform live, recently enjoying a huge sell-out gig.
“It was amazing. The reception was awesome. We got lots of family and friends down and familiar faces from Bristol and
KBPS
Kent, where we are originally from, before moving up this way. It was superb; great reactions. The great thing about it was that people said there wasn’t one track they heard which was filler; it was all great material. “People completely got what we are about. Even the other artists there said we’d nailed the sound. It was good to have that feedback that what we’re doing and spending all this time on really kind of transcends. “We [also] have a gig hopefully on the 26th April; we’ll be putting on a show and performing a bunch of new songs as well.” So where is it next for JukeJaxon?
“At the moment we’re building a bit of buzz with what we’re doing and looking at getting a few more singles out but eventually to smash an album. I don’t know about an EP. We’re in it for the album side of things and we want to get it put on vinyl, and get back to that old culture: singles then an album!” With vinyl very much having a commercial
The music magazine

reprise I was keen to know if that was something they were passionate about.
“I love the whole vinyl thing. Back in the day people waited until a certain day of the month, like a Friday when new vinyls were released and they’d rush down to the record store, and sit down and really listen to it on repeat. The appreciation of music back then was so much more, but now with the whole download culture you can pass on songs within ten seconds after hearing it on the preview thing. “The quality and appreciation of music has gone now, and I’m glad vinyl is coming back for that reason. And cassette as well, as it means people are listening to all the songs on the album and not just getting one or two of them, and sitting down and really listening to what they have to say.”
JukeJaxon fb.com/jukejaxon twitter: @JukeJaxon instagram.com/JukeJaxon/ jukejaxon.co.uk JukeJaxonMusic@gmail.com
And what are their big hopes for 2016?
“It might be too late to play Glastonbury but the idea of playing a real British festival that would be awesome! We can’t stress how much we like the live thing – that would probably be the dream, hopefully next year!”

ALISTAIR PROUDMAN KISS the Past Goodbye On the 40th anniversary of KISS’ Destroyer, Gene Simmons has made once again courted controversy with his views on modern music. Having previously moaned about Run D.M.C’s induction into the rock and roll hall of fame (“You’ve got Grandmaster Flash in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame? Run-D.M.C. in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame? You’re killing me. That doesn’t mean those aren’t good artists. But they don’t play guitar. They sample and they talk. Not even sing.”), Simmons has now set rap and pop in his sights.
While his talk of rap music may make the bigger headlines – declaring himself to be looking forward “to the death of rap, to music coming back to lyrics and melody, instead of just talking” – Simmons arguably presents a far worse view of some other genres, saying of EDM, “there’s a guy onstage who does fuckall, he does nothing. He presses a button”, that the likes of Madonna and Shakira are dishonest and are really just karaoke and that he would like to see Lady GaGa “drop the pole dancing and put together a rock band”. Many would genuinely agree with him, and in fairness to him GaGa’s best material has come when she stripped away the trappings and put together a jazz album with Tony Bennett, but it would be a startling display of hypocrisy for the frontman of KISS to criticise anyone for focusing on the live show and image over the actual songs, to go style over substance when KISS practically pioneered the concept; they were the band that focused on selling merchandise and looking impressive rather than sounding brilliant.
KBPS
No matter which way you spin it, and whether you (rightly) agree with his sentiments that lip-syncing is a bane on modern music (in which case he should probably look back at his performance of ‘Rock and Roll All Nite’ at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame), it is the ultimate “music was better in my day” rant – something that seems more and more common as time goes by, every time a new release is reviewed on a major website there will be the commenters with their arsenal of complaints:
The music magazine
13
“Their old stuff was better, before they sold out”
“They’re just talentless tripe – not like [insert band from the 70s here]” “Female artists of the past were better before they essentially became strippers to sell sex”
But is it entirely fair? Could it not just be a case of nostalgia isn’t what it used to be? Criticising modern chart music is (in my honest opinion) like shooting fish in a barrel – it’s an easy target and there’s no difficulty in it; tune in to any new music radio station and it’s hard to pick out one band from the next, such is the degree of homogenisation in pop music: the problem of an industry focused on
KBPS
sales figures – everything is too formulaic, pop by committee rather than genuine inspiration and boundary challenging.
It has to be said though that if you venture into the underground scenes, music is still booming – certainly in some sub-culture where new sub-genres are popping up with roughly the same frequency as daffodils at this time of year; while time has worked as an effective filter on the bland rubbish that existed in the sixties and seventies (case in point, does anyone genuinely remember ‘In The Year 2525’ by Zager and Evans?) (Yes, Ed).
To shout about how music isn’t what it used to be is to display a serious case of myopia.

THE BIG APPLE Kirsten Adamson crosses the pond musically to deliver ‘New York Girl’, one of our favourite songs of the year. We quiz the singer-songwriter about her new hit.
KBPS
The music magazine
15
There’s no better way to start a piece on Kirsten Adamson than this quote from her Facebook page:
““Imagine Kate Bush and Debbie Harry - in their pomp - are stuck in an elevator on the 13th Floor. The engineers sent to rescue them turn out to be Crowded House’s Tim Finn and Massive Attack’s 3D. “Rather than save the legendary singers, they all decide to write and record an album. While comparison with other artists is a crude shorthand for this strikingly original and assured debut, the result may well have sounded a lot like Kirsten Adamson’s self-titled opener”
In an interview for KBPS the Blondie / Bush-sounding Adamson confessed that ‘New York Girl’ was initially written as a joke song but as it blossomed into a popular hit suddenly developed a life of its own. We began the interview intrigued about the origin of the song.
“It’s [about] a friend of a friend [who] many years ago had met a girl on MySpace and she was from New York and he’d gone over to meet her and when he’d got there they didn’t really hit it off, so it was loosily based on that story and then brought up to date.” It’s difficult to dismiss the Blondie sound in particular, but is Kirsty a fan and how would she describe her sound. “I guess I am. I’ve got a lot of her songs, I am a big fan!.
“My sound is quite varied; I’ve been described as the love child of Cyndi Lauper, Dolly Parton and Kate Bush at points. If you
KBPS
can imagine something among that lot then that’s kind of what I would sound like.” Alongside the single there’s a great punky video for the song available online. We were keen to know how it was made.
“I like making lo-fi cheap videos! Being an indie artist you kind of have to. It was a fun shoot and we had planned to do something different on the day but it was a Sunday and most of my friends who’d agreed to come to the shoot were hungover, so it ended up being something slightly different to what I’d imagined but fun nonetheless!” Musicality runs in the blood with Kirsten’s father also a musician, and that helped establish her as a fellow artist. “It’s probably inspired me to keep going I would say. I guess growing up around it and having it in the blood makes you want to do it and never give up.”
Kirsten also lived previously in Nashville which also had an impact on her music, alongside a previous musical life in another group. “The band that I was in before I went under my name was more of a country thing called the Gillyflowers, and being in Nashville definitely influenced that and I wrote country music for a good six, seven years so it definitely had a huge impact.” “[Being in a band and then going solo] both [have] their advantages but I think the point where I decided to go under my own name I’d written so many songs that weren’t country and really different to what I’d been doing with the Gillyflowers to the point where I thought if I put this
The music magazine
16
Kirsten released her debut album as a self-funded release; I asked if she found the creative freedom from that a positive? “I did enjoy that aspect of it. It doesn’t all fit into one genre, so I’m not sure if I did have a label if they would have gone: you need to stick to one thing. However most of the people I really love like Bowie or Bush were real creatives and they never stuck to one genre, so I wouldn’t have liked someone to say to me that’s what you’ve got to do. I liked having the freedom!” out under the Gillyflowers it’s going to be really weird!
“I thought it was a good time to break away and be able to experiment with my own creativity and write whatever I like rather than one genre.” One fun fact from Kirsten’s portfolio was that she taught herself the guitar.
“Guitar’s never easy no matter how you’re learning. I just really enjoyed it, so I used to play and write and practice for an hour from about age sixteen, seventeen. I’ve just always played since then but it is a struggle to start with; sore fingers and what not, and it’s hard to change between chords and things like that, but you do get used to it, it’s a patience game!” Alongside the single she has a self-titled album from 2015, but how would she describe it?
“It’s quite an uplifting album and it’s got a mix of retro sounding songs right up to new age pop, with a mix of Kate Bush in there as well.”
KBPS
Following on from the single release Kirsten also has a tour coming up in March and April. “Things are going well [for the tour]. It’s been tough because we’ve done it all ourselves, so it’s been tough organising every single aspect of it. We have got a crowdfund going just now to try and raise funds for it as well to keep us fed and watered while we’re on the road, but my fans have always been great – they crowdfunded the whole album as well, so they do really support what I do!” And what are her plans for the future?
“I’m hoping to get back into the studio in November and start the second album. I’d really like the tour to be a success and the rest of the gigs to be a success, then get back into the studio to do some more work!”

A COLD NOVEMBER REMEMBERED IN MARCH We spoke to Darren Morrissey of Dublin band Morrissey and Marshall about their latest music
Based in London but originally from Dublin and with debut album ‘And So It Began’ under their belt, I spoke to Darren of Morrissey and Marshall about their funky latest single ‘Cold November Sunrise’, recognisable from its Batman-esque riff. But how did this hit come about? “Lyrically the idea was to write a song based around the idea of ‘Imagine’ by John Legend, basically covering four different topics in the song. Sonically it’s new and rocking! “I think [these issues] are more important now than they ever were, speaking of religion, and homophobia, racism, and the people who are currently in power.” Morrissey and Marshall are a very interesting duo with a great style.
“Initially what we intended to do was start off as a folk-acoustic duo. We moved from Dublin to London about four or five years ago and we started writing songs because we didn’t have a rock band, and then we teamed up with a producer called John Reynolds and we’ve since developed a sound and now we have a full band and we’re recording with brass sections and string sections for our forthcoming album.
“The musicians that we have playing on the records this time round are just incredible. It’s two voices singing in harmonies, but it’s a lot bigger!” Though originally based in Dublin the pair now reside in London and we were interested to know what that change in location was for them.
“We love it over here; our record company is here, our studio is here and our producer
KBPS
is here. We’ve met loads of friends and great musicians, and we hang out with some great bands. I absolutely love it in London. That’s not to say I don’t miss Dublin; I’ll always be a Dub but being in London is a good place to be.”
Here at KBPS we’re always on the look out for new places to visit when we’re not slaving away on a new issue, so what would he recommend about Dublin?
“Obviously the city centre is the most happening place; there’s always something going on. There are always gigs on at some amazing venues; there’s always things to do. I’d say go over there with the intention of enjoying yourself.” He was also positive about it as place to grow up musically.
“We’d been Dubliners fans, and we were big Thin Lizzy fans, and we’re fans of Irish music. In terms of a place to grow up it’s great; it’s very musical. Ireland is a very musical place.” As well as the single there is a great video for ‘Cold November Sunrise’.
“The idea for the video was that I was trapped in a studio-office environment trying to come up with the concept for the song and the lyrics, and Greg Marshall, he was basically trapped inside his phone, unable to get away from what was going on on screen, scrolling through social media or whatever. “The idea is that we’re both in different situations but both equally trapped and in the end we start to break it down and rebuild.” The interview concludes on page 22.

in Ireland. We’re doing a mini-European tour in May and a UK and Ireland tour in September which will be our first headline tour, so we’re looking forward to that!” And how about a new album?
“The Late, Late Show is a rite of passage in Ireland; it’s the biggest one to do, and it was viewed by well over half-amillion people. It was unbelievable and the response ever since has been mental, really. We’ve been inundated with offers of festivals and people looking to jump on board!”
“On the back of the 2014 album we ended up going on tour with the Magic Numbers and Sinead O’Connor and we were invited to the Irish President’s house to perform for him. This time around we’re going for the big band thing, the big production, and we’re absolutely loving it. It’s new, and it’s exciting, and I can’t wait to everyone for here it!”
“We’ve been booked for quite a few festivals; we’re doing the Deer Shed again and we’ve a few more in and around London. There are a few festivals over here that we’re not allowed to announce yet but it’s shaping up really well over here and
“I want to get out and play some dates in America as we haven’t been out there yet. A couple of gigs in and around New York and travel on would be the ambition for the rest of the year. Obviously a number one album would be good as well!”
There are also more live opportunities for later in the year.

ROB BEEZLEY
The Top Forty Column Hello all, hope you’re having a good day and welcome to my monthly column here at KBPS! I’m Rob, an avid lover of all genres of music, however my forte is Top 40 and New Releases. I’ll be bringing to you the best in upcoming music... So let’s get started!
The only place to start with in regards to the top 40, is with Lukas Graham and his number one hit “7 Years”, which has been at number 1 for 5 weeks. It is the longest number 1 song for a Danish act and also the first Danish number 1 since Aqua with “Turn Back Time” in 1998!
Lukas Graham does have tough competition from the likes of Rihanna with her latest song “Work”, which is expected to be huge. I’m not quite sure why the only
KBPS
word I understand in the song is ‘Work’ and the rest just seem to be noises haha! It’s great to dance to though!
Mike Posner is back after his debut single “Cooler Than Me”, with a completely different style of music. This time, he’s gone down the dance route and it’s set to pay off, with his comeback single “I Took A Pill In Ibiza” (I hope he didn’t, it’s not clever :P) which went straight in at number one and is a very catchy song! Sigala (featuring Imani) - “Say You Do”... It seems the man can do no wrong, and following “Easy Love” and “Sweet Lovin”, he returns with massive dance hit “Say You Do”, which always gets people dancing without fail... My pick for number 1 in the next few weeks.

Sia and Sean Paul - “Cheap Thrills”... Only heard this for the first time the other day but after hearing it again today, this song is definitely a grower and one that will stick in your head! About 98% of the song is Sia, which makes it more of a dancey number than RnB, and the way music is going lately, dance music is the way forward!
The Feeling The Feeling
Jess Glynne - “Ain’t Got Far To Go”... Released last month but getting a lot more airplay now, expect this to creep into the top ten over the next few weeks! It’s an upbeat and empowering track, one you will know the words too within a few listens too!
So that’s it for this month. Thank you for reading and supporting KBPS, we really do appreciate it and I appreciate you taking the time to read my article! I’m going to end with a little teaser of next month’s article. We need to look out for songs from David Guetta with “This One’s For You” and LuvBug also return with “Best Is Yet To Come”. Also look out for Carly Rae Jepsen with “Boy Problems” and finally, last but definitely not least, Justin Bieber releases another new song “Company” (does the boy ever take a break?! Haha!)
I can’t give an opinion on this one yet as I have not heard it, but it’s bound to feature in our April article. Also, if anybody would like to meet the face behind the words, I now have a regular gig down at Queens Court in Leeds, every Saturday (11pm-4am), so why not come down and say hi!
For their fifth album, released on the 10th anniversary of their first, The Feeling have gone all self-titled on us.
‘The Feeling’ is a strong return of an LP after a two-and-a-half year gap. Opener ‘Wicked Heart’ is a relatively subdued but building opener that mixes the band’s familiar pop, indie and rock credentials.
Lead single and second track ‘Spiralling’ lacks the pizzazz of its Keane namesake, but this introspective ballad wins you over with its heartfelt moments and is practically as classic Feeling as we’re ever likely to get.
I’m also on Beverley FM every Sunday (3pm to 5pm) and the same station every Mon- Fri (10pm till ‘Feel Something’ is a less memorable Midnight)! number, pretty much by-the-numbers, and ‘Real Deal’ goes by equally Any feedback is welcome. I’m on Twitter @ uneventfully, but the album finds robbbeezley, so let me know your thoughts on the its feet quickly again with potential article! future single, the catchy riffy ‘Non-Stop American’ which proves to be one of the See you next month! catchiest numbers on the record. Similarly ‘Repeat to Fade’, though slower, has enough hooky elements to avoid the skip button and is the top half of the album, unlike ‘Let It Be Gone’, a slow and ponderous number that doesn’t quite do it for me.
The biggest number of the album by a long chalk is the excellent ‘Young Things’, the central moment of the album and easily a future single. Fast-paced with witty tongue-in-cheek lyrics, a very catchy chorus, quality production values and a real fun persona, this is The Feeling at their very best. From here the album keeps up. ‘Shadow Boxer’, another slower number, is sweet and satisfying and ‘What’s The Secret’ nicely bridges the gap between that track and ‘Alien’, the second best track on the album with its repetitive, but memorable chorus. The album ends on ‘Sleep Tight’, a smooth touching wrap up.
For fans with extra pennies to spend the second disc of the deluxe edition is definitely worth a listen with a smattering of extended versions and live tracks plus some insights into the recording process that are, though only really worth one listen, a nice peer behind the scenes. ‘The Feeling’ album is the band coming back with a good selection of songs. There are a few bits of filler but when you have songs like ‘Spiralling’, ‘NonStop American’, ‘Young Things’ and ‘Aliens’ to add into your repetoire then welcome back Dan Sells and crew!
Norwegian singer Aurora releases her twelve track debut album, a quiet, subdued but atmospheric LP that starts with the emotive and reflective ‘Runaway’ that builds into a strong number with a soaring chorus. It’s track number two ‘Conqueror’ that is the big hit of the record, a huge pop-crossover hit with a bouncy, hugely singable chorus, and as shown earlier, is one of our favourite songs of the year. ‘Running with the Wolves’ cements a strong opener trio of songs and from them the album ebbs and flows with a selection of smooth, beautifully produced songs like ‘Lucky’, ‘Winter Bird’ and ‘I Went Too Far’.
Track nine ‘Murder Song (5, 4, 3, 2, 1)’ is the next song on the record that aims to do something a little different, before the album concludes in a very similar way to how it started.
‘All My Demons Greeting Me As A Friend’ is a nice, smooth, atmospheric breakthrough that is perfect chill-out. It never quite hits the heights it establishes early on but it’s well worth a listen for a relaxing afternoon.
Aurora - All My Demons Greeting Me As A Friend
RESCUE ME
We speak to Daniel Bellqvist about their new single ‘To The Rescue’ Eskobar are a Swedish Pop/Rock/Indie/ Alternative band who have just released their new single ‘To The Rescue’, described by one half of the group Daniel bellqvist as ‘a retro Rolling Stones-inspired’ track, a group theat he is a fan of. I was keen to find out more about the band’s work on videos as well as music, with a video for ‘To The Rescue’, not yet released, created by the guitarist of the group.
“We’ve been around for quite some time; even back when there were quite big budgets for videos which there aren’t now. I like all the aspects of the video thing. We come up with ideas so I like everything from big budget ones to cool little indie ones.”

Eskobar have enjoyed lots of big successes including Grammy nominations, a tour with Sting and over half-a-million albums sold worldwide. I asked Daniel if it’s exciting times for them. “It is! It’s our first record in a few years so it’s exciting to be back to do some stuff. We’re very excited about the new album coming out.”
The band’s new album is entitled Magnetic and Daniel was very enthusiastic about it.
“We usually try to make every song stand on its own. We care less about the collection of the songs and more about the individual songs. But we used a producer called Oscar Harrison and he usually produces Swedish hip-hop music. He came from different angles to our classic sound. It doesn’t sound like a hip-hop album but it

has that kind of view on it. It’s pretty cool – it’s a mix between the simple sound of a stripped back sound of me and Frederick and more an electronic thing.”
have got one song right, and the others have not made it. But this competition is a friendly one so you get points for trying as well!”
“I think we’ve always made the music we want to make; we were with the V2 label back in the day and they were, even though a Richard Branson business, an indie company so the creative freedom was there and I don’t think we felt pressure actually.
“It was amazing! We supported Roxette at twenty-eight shows all around Europe. It was so cool, starting up with a new album, and got the opportunity to meet lots of new listeners, and that was just perfect for us. It was amazing to play stadium shows all over the place. And we travelled in a camper, so it wasn’t luxury touring for us but it was fun.”
There is a satisfying DIY feel to the band thanks to their freedom from record label involvement. I asked if that has helped them creatively.
“The DIY thing is very cool. We like having input in everything we do, like the album covers so it’s a really cool thing. The hard thing is you don’t have any big budgets behind you, but that’s another story!”
Last year Eskobar was involved with a sellout tour. I asked Daniel about it.
They’ve also been engaging fans online with a competition to guess track names for their upcoming album. I asked how fans were doing with their guesses. “It’s been going pretty well. I think two people

They also released their first live album too, which they described as really cool.
“On the tour we did the technician recorded all the shows; we didn’t even know about it. We got the discs from him, and to listen back to the shows and decide which ones to use. It was really cool, our first live album, even if we’ve played for a while. Usually we only get to hear bootleg versions that fans make, so the sound isn’t usually that good.”
Eskobar still have lots of live ambitions left. “We are at the beginning of the promotion right now. We’re hoping to do a European club tour on our own but we haven’t set any dates or anything yet, so we hope that’ll come together when we are pushing the album.”
They are also a band with some interesting facts; their guitarist is a cook-book writer who cooks regularly on Swedish television,

and as a music act have one of the longest number ones in Swedish chart history!
“There was a legendary show in Sweden and it was a voting show and the audience voted. We were lucky enough to have a hit that ran for a long time. We were very honoured to have that – it was a duet with Heather Nova. Everything came together with that one!” So what’s next for them?
“We’d really like to get out there and meet new audiences; go to Europe, do the club tour, and get as many people as possible to listen to our music to see if it’s something that they like!
