Paper Crane Social

Cypress has held a couple socials every month throughout the past few months in quarantine, but the paper crane one we had in August is one of my favorite ones I’ve joined. Playing FreeRice, BeanBeanBean and Freekibble over Google Meets every month with my home club is fun, don’t get me wrong, but those questions can get repetitive and old real quick. The paper crane social was super fun because we all had to learn how to make paper cranes together at the start, I guess it all slipped our minds how to make them again. Throughout the social I got to talk to my fellow board members and catch up with a few of our members. I think it’s always great getting to know our members, especially our fresh/ sophomore class because they’re our next “generation.” We played music, talked about everything on our minds all while struggling to simply make a few paper cranes. At the end we all were able to make a couple in all different colors, shapes, and sizes. Socials are my favorite types of key club events because it’s just an amazing feeling talking to your friends or making new ones while doing something fun together. Cypress hs socials have definitely become my favorite stuck in quarantine key club events!
