dog days
Four-legged friends are abundant at the Pinto World Championship. Although members are competing with their horses, many have brought along additional four-legged family members to share the experience. The Pinto Horse Association has been accommodating these companions for many years with their PWC Dog Show. The dog show will be on Sunday, June 17, in the Pavilion following the Welcome Party. It is free for PtHA members and will be judged. Those participating can win prizes and ribbons. All ages are welcome; no sign up is necessary. During the dog show, exhibitors will be able to compete in an obstacle course, speed dash, owner look-alike class, costume class, trickster class and color class. Before the PWC Dog Show, the PWC Welcome Party will be held in the Exchange Building at 5:30 p.m. Everyone is invited to come dine on hamburgers and hot dogs. Free food is only the start, though. PtHA members can socialize, and the Earl R. Browning Top Hand Award will be presented to the deserving individual who has shown commitment and support to the association.
