The Bandoroffs each gained experience working in various bloodstock and sales capacities. The name of their operation is derived from the name given by the Eskimos to Mt. McKinley and means “the great one.” In the late 1990s, Bob Lewis and his wife, Beverly, sent their champion racemare Serena’s Song to Denali when she was retired.
