Chapter 1 Equipment Needed


Movie Mount for iPad This case holds the iPad and attaches to the tripod. It also accepts many accessories such as lenses, lights, and microphones.

Tripod A tripod is used to keep the iPad steady as you record video. The Movie Mount easily screws onto the tripod.

Wide Angle Lens A wide angle lens can quickly screw on to the Movie Mount to give you a much wider video area than with just the iPad.

Chapter 2 Learn how to set up and use your Video Casting equipment.


1. Snap the iPad into the Movie Mount case.

2. Attach your lens to the back of the case by twisting the lens into the space.


3. Open the tripod. Press the orange button to release the tripod head.

4. Use the included tool to connect the iPad to the tripod head.


5. Attach the iPad to the tripod by sliding the tripod head back in place.

6. Twist the locking knob to lock the iPad in place on the tripod.


7. Slide the light into the hot shoe on the top of the Movie Mount case.

8. Tighten the light on using the locking knob on the light.


You are ready to record a video.

Classroom Uses • Set up the Movie Mount to monitor small group reading or literature circle discussions. • Set up the Movie Mount for students to use. Allow students to record presentations, interviews, book reviews, movie trailers, or poetry readings.
