When doing any kind of photo shoot, the foreground (usually the individual(s) being photographed) needs to be in harmony with the background A good location also sets the mood, and amplifies it while providing a beautiful backdrop for the photographs.
First of all, the location for your photo shoot needs to be meaningful to you. It should relate to your personality, your hobbies, anything that makes you you
Secondly, a location should never be overpowering or distracting of what’s going on in the foreground of the picture. You don’t want anyone to look over your shoulder to see that amazing location behind you, like a holiday snapshot
Last but not least, choose a location that you love If you have multiple locations on your short list, choose the one that you esthetically love the most. It is going to be in your pictures after all and play an important part, so you better like what you see!

YORK RIVER STATE PARK #2
York River State Park is located near the unincorporated town of Croaker in James City County, Virginia on the south bank of the York River about 10 miles downstream from West Point.
The park has lots of open space for families with little ones to run and play. The tree line backdrop is beautiful at all times of the year! Jump across the rock path and we can get photos of your family with the york river behind. A perfect combination if you want both nature and water.
There is a $5 fee to enter the park which is the clients responsibility
YORKTOWN BEACH PARK #3

WILLIAM AND MARY COLLEGE #4
Right across the street from Colonial Williamsburg is William and Mary College. The college offers a captivating backdrop for family photos, blending historic charm with picturesque scenery. COLLEGE CREEK BEACH #5
The Colonial Parkway has a few pullovers where you can stroll on the beach. The most popular and sandiest beach along the parkway is College Creek Beach.
If the weather is right, this location is beautiful for those golden hour sunset photos.
