OUTFIT INSPRIATION
Don't get stuck on what to wear! I'm here to help! Here are a few tips and tricks to help guide you with your outfit choices!
keep comfort priority
bright colors can be great, but go natural when in doubt Boring is best when you're in doubt. If you want to use your images over and over, the last thing you want is for people to be thinking about your clothing. We want people looking at you. Neutral colors will also complement most brand colors and Instagram feeds.
If you don't love fitted clothing, then don't wear them! You don't want anything that makes you feel self-conscious, because we want photo shoot day to be FUN! Keep in mind, you will be on the ground, laying down, walking around, or maybe propped on a fence. You are going to want to be comfotable and not constantly thinking about your clothes.
wear layers Definitely add some layers into your wardrobe for the portrait session! Layers add dimension to your images. If it is summer then use accessories to layer, but if cooler outside then look to cardigans, vests, or scarves!
keep a variety Make sure when planning your outfits to keep a large variety of looks. Think casual, dressy, cozy, preppy, edgy, school-related, or sports-related. Having a variety will keep a large poole of options during your session so that each outfit looks very different!
texture vs pattern Patterns are beautiful, we all love patterns, but it can be difficult to coordinate a variety of patterns. Instead, choose a single pattern and mix in various textures. Knits, leathers and lace are just a feew examples of subtle pattern within textures .
when in doubt... I have Pinterest boards ready and available for you to grab some inspiration from! There are outfits for each season and I keep them updated to continuously keep up with current color and fashion trends. Feel free to use this resource when planning outfits.

fashion pass Consider renting your wardrobe from Fashion Pass. FashionPass is a clothing rental service that offers a variety of styles from top brands. Customers can subscribe to a plan that allows them to rent a certain number of items each month. They can then return the items when they are finished with them and choose new ones.
rent the runway Rent the Runway is an e-commerce platform that allows users to rent, subscribe, or buy designer apparel and accessories.
HAIR AND MAKEUP I highly recommend all personal branding clients invest in having professional hair and makeup done. By hiring a professional, it will make a drastic difference in your images and experience! Let's make it the best that it can be! Tip: If you are not used to wearing makeup, I suggest having a trial run to make sure you and your stylist are on the same page and you feel comfortable in your skin!
nails Make sure and schedule a time to go have your nails done before your session date as well! We will have several poses that your nails will show by having your hands close to your face in the frame so make sure that your nails look perfect! I do recommend light and nautral colors. Chipped polish or wild patterns might take away from the imagel.
