index

kaleidoscopic is the story of oscillating change. It is adapting to survive amidst turbulent and beautiful moments, those that remain concrete in the mind. It is the ability to thrive as the world around is moving, developing, and evolving into the future. Architecture stands between man and nature, synthesizing the need to preserve and advance. The architect relies on her past experiences for information and inspiration: where she has been, what she has investigated, and how she exploited her knowledge to design. kaleidoscopic is a chronicle of a growing passion for movement, analysis, practice, and understanding.

Architecture is theatrical in its conceptual understanding. It is sublime in its portrayal to the masses. It is inspiration to those with a desire to change the world.

007

Architecture is about observing, analyzing, and reinterpreting reality. It is taking the essence of what man knows and reshaping it to unravel his natural essence. It is story-telling, visually transmitting experiences into the built environment and impacting vocabularies, beliefs, and commonalities with cultures unlike our own. It is synthesizing the importance of history and the fairy-tale of the iconic, bringing beautiful forms and materials to the unfamiliar. It is theatrical in its conceptual understanding. It is sublime in its portrayal to the masses. It is inspiration to those with a desire to change the world.

009

It is passion, to explain the difficult questions we are facing today with a penchant for studying the past and embracing the present, always relying on our imagination and experiences for guidance and stimulus. Architecture is a literary masterpiece, beautiful in composition and exquisite in artistic expression.

Architecture is an investigation of medium. It is the education of materiality and construction. It is hands on, feeling the textures and molding the physical. It is the vision embodied in the built, a creation taken from conception to birth. It is creating for the first time a tangible mass, an education in fabrication and joinery.

Human beings are in constant motion. It is walking, communication, sound. It is the stretching and flexing in millions of ways in a desire to move. It is seamlessly executed without a conscious awareness. Architecture is the embodiment of human movement, a poetic metaphor of flowing color, texture, and structure. It is a progression of fluidity.

kaleidoscopic is the story of development. Maturing from a child to an adult, timid and weak to strong and fearless. It evokes changing beliefs from wandering the outside world, unfamiliar in every sense. It is gaining knowledge and insight by observation. It is cultivating an inner desire to examine, analyzing generalities and details to produce the perfect artifact. It is trial and error, criticism, and setbacks, the negativity that boosts thoughtful design and creativity to the next realm, the future, tomorrow.
