Why I Chose a Branch Campus

“UWM at Washington County is the most inviting campus I’ve ever been to and it felt like home right away. I’ve never walked into a class and not felt welcome. You’d have to try to not make friends here.”

Education

Without Limits

HONORS

Enrich your college experience with the Honors Program, available to high-achieving students. As part of the Honors Program, students enroll in Honors classes, do research and undertake independent study projects.

RESEARCH SYMPOSIUM

Working independently with a faculty sponsor, students can design a research project in fall and present their findings at the Student Research Symposium in spring. Students are invited to submit their work to UWM’s Undergraduate Research Symposium on the main campus.

INTERNSHIPS

Real-world experience in your field of study is a valuable part of a college experience. Both campuses help students find the right internships, and UWM at Waukesha hosts a career and internship fair each year.

HOW TO TRANSFER FROM A BRANCH CAMPUS TO THE MILWAUKEE CAMPUS: Transferring to the main Milwaukee campus from UWM at Waukesha or UWM at Washington County is as easy as filling out an internal transfer form, available Sept. 15 for spring and Feb. 1 for summer or fall transfers.
