INTRODUCTION
Located at the sea front of a conservative swahili town,north of Malindi along the kenyan coast is the proposed Mambrui Tourist Terminal. The urban mixed use building is a tourist hub development that retains its swahili architectural identity with a touch of modern architecture,designed according to the principles of function, local context ,conservation of Urban spaces and environmental suistainability.

WEST FACADE
The building is built around courtyards and courts to allow Solar heat gain and cross ventilation across spaces. The Amphitheatre and transit lounge are located at the core centre of the building in the Main Courtyard surrounded with water features to serenate noise from the corridors and are also used to create Internal Views for Users. Swimming pool is located on the west side of the building to not only take advantage of the West sun but also create Internal views from the hotel rooms.It is raised by 2Metres from the first floor with a suspended deck around it.

INTRODUCTION
SITE PLAN
Mseto residential development is located along the Kenyan coastal town, Mambrui. The site overlooks the Indian ocean separated from the beach by the famous Mambrui sand dunes. The community is a conservative swahili culture whose most dominant religion is Islam. Despite the location being one of the tourist hubs,it lacks habitable developments for local and international tourists due to the extremely hot and humid climate. SECTION ACROSS SITE

MSETO MSETO
Mseto is swahili name for diversity,something for everyone. It include; *Sustainable Residential Units for local and international tourist *A social amenities park open to the local community which includes; -Contemporary steam baths built at different heights each of different temperatures. -Native swahili Swimming pool area with makuti roof shelters and bamboo walls for the changing rooms. -Modern Gym fully equipped with modern fitness technology. -Interactive all age Children play area. -Hang-out green garden for couples. -An aesthetic japanese garden which can also used as an Islamic prayer area.
Common 3 unit apartments stacked on top of each other with a common staircase on the side,are massive buildings whose space organization is to no effective user experience.
Above is a more effective Unit arrangement stacked side by side with independent entrances and Individual staircases. More privacy ,less bulky.
Raised the middle Unit for continuous flow of wind and pedestrian circulation through the building. Less ground coverage. 2016

LEARNING RESOURCE CENTER
INTRODUCTION
THE BOOTH
The Learning Resorce Centre is located along Mamlaka Road, in Nairobi. It purpose is to ease the increased population at the school of built environment across the road hence providing a cool environmentally responsive learning environment, common amphitheatre that faces Mamlaka Road, a cafeteria for both students and lecturers and recreation outdoor spaces. The auditorium is built as an independent unit for acoustic purposes and is connected to the L.R.C building by a common rock garden outside the gallery and next to the outdoor cafeteria.
The chill booth is an outdoor hexagonal relaxation seat organized around a tree.A 1500 mm high river rock wall is built all around defining the space horizontally and an overhead pergola visually defining it vertically hence it giving it a sense of privacy and providing extra shade incase of scortching overhead sun. It is stepped down from the pavement to give it an intimate atmosphere.
