1880 ESTABLISHED

Behind the name of Kendrick Homes lies over a century of craftsmanship, commitment to quality and pride in a job well done. William Kendrick, Black Country man and bricklayer, founded the company in 1880. Soon his reputation for skilled and conscientious work was winning him substantial contracts all over the region. Later, he was joined by his son, who continued to guide the company’s growth after the founder’s death at the ripe old age of ninety-one. Over the years the company has completed many prestigious projects from housing to industrial, hospitals, schools and municipal buildings. Today the fourth and fifth generations of the first William Kendrick continue to guide the company, proud to see the founder’s principles of quality craftsmanship still demonstrated in the work of Kendrick Homes.

Local amenities and modern entertainment - all within easy reach The historic village of Wednesfield was once known for making all kinds of traps and locks but is now a bustling town just a few miles northeast of Wolverhampton city centre with a range of local amenities. Shops and entertainment Local residents often refer to Wednesfield as ‘the village’ where the High Street offers a selection of shops, including a regular outdoor market with over 20 stalls for local shoppers offering fruit and vegetables, confectionery, clothing and household items. This is complemented by facilities at nearby Bentley Bridge Retail Park where you’ll find national high street brands and a large Sainsburys supermarket. There is also plenty to keep you entertained with a 14-screen cinema, bowling alley and a 24-hour gym with over 220 pieces of state-of-the-art equipment. There is also a wide selection of modern restaurants here at Bentley Bridge with other options available just a short distance away in the centre of Wolverhampton. If you are shopping for the home you can get everything you need under one roof at the Ikea store at Wednesbury just over 6 miles from Bluebird Gardens by junction 9 of the M6.

Outdoor Activities If you like spending time outdoors then there are excellent recreational facilities for all the family at Wednesfield Park just down the road. These include a natural play area, multi-use games area, skate park, bowling green and pavilion as well as open space and seating, while the adjacent King George V playing field has 3 football pitches with changing facilities as well as a fitness trail. A short distance away, you will also find West Park in Wolverhampton - approximately 43 acres of beautifully landscaped space including an impressive lake - considered to be one of the best, unspoilt examples of a Victorian park left in England. Schools, Colleges and Hospital There are a number of primary schools near Bluebird Gardens including St Thomas’ and Wodensfield, both awarded an ofsted rating of ‘Good’ and Wood End Primary School. Secondary school education options include Wednesfield Specialist Engineering Academy, Heath Park and Moreton Community Schools as well as the City of Wolverhampton College. For further education, The University of Wolverhampton - providing education for over

180 years - has recently spent over £45m upgrading campus facilities and now offers almost 300 different courses. New Cross Hospital is just over a mile from the development and is part of The Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust – the 2nd largest employer in Wolverhampton with more than 7000 staff. There are more than 800 beds at the New Cross site with maternity, accident & emergency, critical care and outpatient facilities. Birmingham City Centre Hop on a train at Wolverhampton station and you’ll discover that Birmingham City Centre is only 17 minutes away and a quick and easy commute for anyone working in the city or those looking for an even wider range of attractions, including nightlife and culture. The well-known Bull Ring and Mailbox shopping centres will soon be supplemented by the new Grand Central development in the centre of Birmingham with over 40 shops, 15 cafes/restaurants and a large John Lewis store.
