Founded in 1981 by five renowned Metro Denver real estate brokers, Kentwood Real Estate celebrated 40 years of excellence in 2021. The original office was headquartered in the Denver Tech Center, where operations continue today.
Over the years, key milestones for Kentwood Real Estate include the launch of a Cherry Creek office in 1998 and a Lower Downtown office, Kentwood City Properties, in 1999. In 2018 a Northern Colorado office was formed in Fort Collins. Kentwood Commercial, Denver Rental, Prosperity Home Mortgage, HomeServices Insurance and American Home Shield round out our full service company.
Kentwood Real Estate is a local brand that punches above its weight. With the reach of national and global affiliations and the strength of our highly experienced Kentwood brokers, you can trust that your real estate goals will be fulfilled. It’s time to take the next steps in your life journey.
Regarded as Colorado’s most respected real estate company, strengthened by four decades in the community, Kentwood provides the highest quality service and trustworthiness, producing matchless results across all our services. And while Kentwood is proudly rooted in Colorado, we affiliate with only the best nationally. Our parent company, HomeServices of America, a Berkshire Hathaway Affiliate, was recognized as the largest brokerage by transaction sides in the U.S. on the 2021 REAL Trends 500 list.
Kentwood Real Estate is an elite team of REALTORS® whose exceptional service, local expertise and deep community roots create a market advantage for clients.
From the beginning, Kentwood was built on the foundation of broker excellence. Only the most professional, ethical and knowledgeable topproducing brokers are selected to be affiliated with our esteemed brand.
Kentwood Real Estate is the exclusive Colorado affiliate of Berkshire Hathaway’s HomeServices of America. In 2016, the organizations aligned given our shared core values of trust, integrity, stability and longevity. HomeServices companies are independent brands under the Berkshire Hathaway umbrella, not franchises. We are owned and operated as a collective of the top real estate brands in the country, yet managed locally to maintain our independence of brand, community roots and deep local knowledge.
Kentwood is a member of Luxury Portfolio International® and Leading Real Estate Companies of the World®, the largest global network of premier locally branded companies, dominated by many of the world’s top-tier independent brokerages. The LeadingRE network spans more than 70 countries and includes 150,000 real estate professionals selling more property than any of the large national brands. We are also members of Who’s Who in Luxury Real Estate, a compendium of the finest residential real estate firms from around the world from local boutique brokerages to large international brands.
Active and respected in the industry, Kentwood Real Estate has a significant number of brokers serving on committees and Boards of Directors at local, state and national real estate associations including the Denver Metro Association of REALTORS®, Loveland-Berthoud Association of REALTORS®, Fort Collins Association of REALTORS®, Colorado Association of REALTORS®, and the National Association of REALTORS®.
At our core, Kentwood is built on the foundation of supporting our local community. The company and brokers are passionate in our commitment to supporting organizations that aid those in need, such as HomeAid Colorado, which supports nonprofits that create housing solutions and ancillary support for the homeless.
The Kentwood Cares Foundation was created with the dual mission of supporting both the internal Kentwood community of employees and brokers and the external community of nonprofit organizations. Kentwood brokers additionally volunteer and support over 170 local, national and international non-profit organizations.
Our brokers hold themselves to the highest standards in the real estate industry and remain committed to helping their clients, and each other, successfully reach their goals. Kentwood brokers are family and, as soon as you work with one, so are you.

Kentwood brokers are family and, as soon as you work with one, so are you.
We are nimble because we are part of the community, Colorado is our home. We believe in our communities and our hearts belong here. Our brand is local and will stay that way, but we’re able to bring the world to Colorado when we need to.
We are leaders, and guarantee a personal touch to every client – this is our passion. We adapt and bend to challenges, are problem solvers and dream makers. Through our affiliation with HomeServices of America, we have the backing of one of the most trusted brands in the world—Berkshire Hathaway.

Our progressive design was created with a thorough understanding of buyers and sellers, creating a streamlined ecosystem of tools to give you the insights needed for smooth transactions and lasting business relationships with your clients.

Your home will be advertised around the globe on the Internet via a unique Individual Property Website (IPW) which is also embedded into Kentwood.com.
In order to make the process of finding your home easy, our agents will register a simple and specific domain name for your property.
These web addresses can be included on a rider over the Kentwood ‘For Sale’ sign. A prospective client passing by can use their mobile device to view a complete online brochure, including outstanding photographs, a property description, price, and agent contact information.
WITH OUR E-FLYER PROGRAM, YOUR PROPERTY CAN REACH 4,000+ BROKERS ALONG THE FRONT RANGE FROM CASTLE ROCK TO FORT COLLINS.
Thousands of highly qualified prospects receive email notification when properties are updated on our website, which occurs daily. We also send email marketing pieces to our network of brokers. * Listing syndication is driven through the MLS system. If you prefer not to have your property syndicated across the internet, ask your Broker for options.

In today’s digital world, cybersecurity is a top priority. That’s why we’ve equipped Kentwood Brokers with the tools and safeguards needed to ensure that every step of your transaction remains safe and secure. Email and wire fraud has become a nationwide epidemic, in an instant, all the money for the purchase of a home could be lost, and in many cases, it can never be recovered. Kentwood brokers understand these threats and know how to keep your money and personal information both safe and secure. Here’s how we do it:
Email – through multi-factor authentication, all Kentwood provided email accounts use an enterprise email system with multiple layers of security and policies that are specifically designed to thwart would-be hackers and any unauthorized email access.
HomeServices of America – Kentwood Real Estate is backed by HomeServices of America and Berkshire Hathaway. With over $600 billion in assets, we have the resources to give you industry leading security. Kentwood has successfully connected all 4 offices to an offsite SOC (Security Operations Center) for professional and real time 24/7/365 monitoring of our internal network and data to help prevent any unauthorized access or cyber-attacks. Additionally, Kentwood has implemented the top 20 CIS security controls and is continually researching new and ground breaking methods to strengthen our network and data security.
Wire fraud is committed in order to defraud another person out of money or something else of value and is on the rise due to the high use of email and the internet for transactional and banking services.
Stay aware of your communications and double check all email addresses you’re communicating with. Hackers who use spoof email accounts will switch around one or two letters of your Realtor®, Lender or title closer’s actual email address. Before responding to emails that seem a little off, have grammatical errors, or a false sense of urgency, double check the email address closely.
Use a reputable title company and either visit the title company in person or call the number listed on their website, do not use a phone number at the end of an email signature. When you’re ready for the closing, you can physically bring a cashier’s check into the title company or call the title company’s main line to clarify you have the correct wiring instructions.
Understand your Realtor’s means of communication. Your Realtor® will not suddenly begin to contact you in a new and different manner. The email address will not change toward the end of a transaction. You’ll also want to know how other parties involved will be communicating with you. Title companies and lenders should only be sending sensitive information via encrypted emails.
On the day of the wire transfer, don’t hesitate to pick up the phone and call the recipient to verify wiring instructions. Use the phone number you’ve been using throughout the process or call the title company or lender’s main line. Don’t use a phone number at the end of an email. Do not react to a suddenly urgent request – this is a red flag for fraud.
Always use strong passwords and ensure your agent is doing the same. It also wouldn’t hurt to change your password a few times throughout the transaction, or before a wire is sent. Finally, request your agent use a company email account, and not a free service such as Gmail, Yahoo! or Hotmail. You and your agent will be better protected by the use of a company email account.
Your Kentwood Broker will provide the luxury of personalized service and take care of it all, from specialized market knowledge to negotiating and closing your transaction.

Are you wondering what the two buzziest buzz words of 2022 real estate in Colorado have become? If you said eco-friendly and sustainable, you get a brand new recycling container. Many people today want their home to be made from eco-friendly building materials, and will pay more for them. For example, home buyers are moving from wood to wood tile for their indoor-outdoor lifestyles.
Buyers also want a feeling of sanctuary. Privacy and security have become a must. This trend started in 2019 and has only grown with the proliferation of simple security cameras and video doorbells.
Technology and performance have also become a focal point for homeowners. Appliances and smart home features are king in 2022. “Professional” or “Gourmet” remain the buzzwords for appliances but the brands have gone sky-high. Wolf, Viking, and Thermador are still synonymous with luxury, but now kitchens are trending towards super-rare, high-end brands.
The pandemic drove a continued desire towards making outdoor spaces more luxurious. In more and more high-end homes today, you see extravagant rooftop decks with panoramic views and spectacular entertaining spaces. Even for homes that don’t have the height, we see owners making their properties into sanctuaries, equipped with cozy fire pits, built-in BBQs, zen gardens, and oasis water features.

It is important for your home to look its best when going on the market. Your Kentwood broker can advise you on enhancements and give you referrals for preparing your home for sale.
ENHANCE YOUR HOME’S EXTERIOR AND CURB APPEAL:
» Keeping the lawn manicured and watered regularly.
» Trimming hedges, weeding flower beds and pruning trees regularly.
» Checking the foundation, steps, walkways, walls and patios for cracks and crumbling.
» Inspecting doors and windows for peeling paint.
» Cleaning and aligning gutters.
» Inspecting and clearing the chimney.
» Repairing and replacing loose or damaged roof shingles.
» Repairing and repainting loose siding and caulking.
» Keeping walks neatly cleared of snow and ice in winter.
» Adding colorful annuals near the front entrance in spring and summer.
» Re-sealing an asphalt driveway.
» Keeping your garage door closed.
» Applying a fresh coat of paint to the front door.
ENHANCE YOUR HOME’S INTERIOR:
» Cleaning every room and removing clutter. This alone will make your house appear bigger and brighter.
» Renting storage units to move furniture out of a crowded room.
» Hiring a professional cleaning service every few weeks while the house is on the market.
» Removing items from kitchen counters, closets and attics.
» Re-painting stained or brightly colored walls with a neutral shade such as a soft white or grey, and applying the same color scheme to carpets and flooring.
» Checking and repairing cracks, leaks and signs of dampness in the attic and basement, as well as repairing cracks, holes or damage to plaster, wallboards, wallpaper, paint and tiles.
» Replacing broken or cracked window panes, molding and other woodwork.
» Inspecting and repairing plumbing, heating, cooling and alarm systems.
» Repairing dripping faucets and shower heads.
» Buying new towels for the bathrooms to be displayed when prospective buyers visit.
» Sprucing up a kitchen in need of major remodeling with new cabinet knobs, window treatments and a coat of neutral paint.
» Consider bringing in a professional stager to set the scene throughout your home.
» Open drapes and curtains before prospective buyers arrive. Make certain the temperature is comfortable. Turn on all lights.
» Keep pets out of the way temporarily unless they are quiet and well behaved.
» Soft background music is acceptable, but blaring stereos, radios and televisions will impede discussions.
» Never apologize for the appearance of your home. After all, it’s been lived in. Let your Kentwood agent react to comments.
» Plan on vacating during the showing period. Potential buyers may feel like intruders and hurry through your home if you are there.
» It is recommended you do not use video systems to observe showings or inspections. Afford brokers and buyers privacy while they determine whether this could be their next home.

A transaction-broker assists the buyer or seller or both throughout a real estate transaction by performing terms of any written, fully informing the parties, presenting all offers and assisting the parties with contracts without advising, including the closing of the transaction without being an agent or advocate for any of the parties. A transaction-broker must use reasonable skill and care in the performance of any oral or written agreement, and must make the same disclosures as agents about all adverse material facts actually known by the transaction-broker concerning a property or a buyer’s financial ability to perform the terms of a transaction and, if a residential property, whether the buyer intends to occupy the property. No written agreement is required, but Colorado’s Real Estate Commission encourages one.
